With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer.

  • Parts Needed to Convert B&W Companion to 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 w/ a Factory Puck System
There isn't an adapter, but there is a way to convert your B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400 to work in your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed with the factory puck system, which is simply to replace the base of the unit. All you need is the Replacement Slider Base for B&W OEM 5th Wheel Hitch - Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVB3770. This will allow you to attach the hitch to the puck system and is the only thing you need. I have added a link to a video review for you...

  • Solution for Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with Curt Double-Lock Hitch on 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500
While we do have other options for you, the only way to use the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 or # BWRVK3400 is by having the entire B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1016 installed on your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 as there isn't a way to safely fit different parts of gooseneck hitches together. With that being said, I'm a little curious about the gooseneck hitch you currently have installed. Reason being that the Chevy factory gooseneck hitch would have needed all of the pucks installed as well...

  • Comparing B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitches RVK3000 and RVK3500
The B&W Companion RVK3000 was an early model that has a max weight rating of 18,000 lbs, adjustable height ranging from 14-3/4" - 16-3/4", and used U-Bolts for the installation. The B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 was upgraded so that the weight rating is now 20,000 lbs, has a higher adjustable height range of 16-1/4" - 18-1/4" (which is more common), and has a single point for mounting which makes it easier to use. It wasn't that the older systems were bad, B&W just saw where they could make...

  • Parts Needed to Add Gooseneck Hitch to 2018 GMC Sierra 2500
It sounds like you want to add a gooseneck hitch to your 2018 Sierra 2500. The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1016 you looked at is the correct hitch and installation kit for your truck. The B&W is great because you will have full bed access when the hitch is stowed and you're not towing. It also uses a square base for the ball to keep it from turning during hookup. The only other thing you will need is the # 50-97-410 to add a 7-way to the bed of your truck. I...

  • What is OEM Hitch Prep for 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 for Gooseneck
Hey Travis, it took me a second but the OEM prep package is basically a gooseneck hitch rail system pre-installed in the bed of your 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500. If you look in the bed of your truck and see 5 holes/mounts then you have the OEM prep and you'd need a ball like the part # BWGNXA2061. Otherwise you'd need a complete hitch like the B and W # BWGNRK1016 and you'd be set.

Thank you for reaching out! If you have a standard truck bed then you need the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1016 that installs directly to existing holes in the frame of your truck. If you have a cab & chassis model with the flat bed then the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1500 is what you need instead. • What 7,500 Air Bags do You Have for a 2016 Sierra 2500HD with B&W Gooseneck Hitch?
Hello Matthew, The # AL57595 you were looking at is for the Ram trucks. For your 2016 Sierra 2500HD we do not have the Air Lift 7500's, we do have the Firestone Red Label with a 7,500 load leveling capacity # F2709 which will work great with the # BWGNRK1016 (B&W part number: GNRK1016). You only want to go with the 7,500 bags if you are really carrying a load over 5,000. If your load is under 5k I would go with the # AL57338 which would also be compatible with the # BWGNRK1016. I also recommend installing a 7-Way like part # 50-97-410 on your Chevy so that it is easier to connect and disconnect the 7-Way from your gooseneck trailer.
