Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Curt Spyder gooseneck trailer hitch for fifth wheel rails. Has a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this Spyder hitch will allow your truck, that's equipped with industry standard fifth wheel rails, to be able to tow your gooseneck trailer. You can see it features four attachment points right here.
Gives you a nice solid installation, and also, quick removal to your fifth wheel base rails. It is designed to work with Demco, Husky, Draw-Tite, Reese, Hidden Hitch, and Curt fifth wheel rails. If you notice it in the front here, it does have attached these safety chain hookups that you can attach your safety chains to. Does come with the pins and clips for attaching this hitch to the rails. And it does resist rust and corrosion.
Has a nice, durable carbide powder coat finish to it. Again, the specs on this, the gross towing weight capacity is 30,000 pounds, the vertical load limit or pin weight capacity is 7,500 pounds, and the ball size is a standard 2 5/16 diameter gooseneck ball size. Features 4 attachment points for a solid installation and quick removal.I just installed the Spyder Gooseneck Hitch. First the Hitch weights 77 lbs. The Hitch fit in very tight. The Curt Spyder Gooseneck showed up ony a couple days....I am very pleased with the Spyder. I haven't been able to tow with it yet but I believe it will do great!
It is what I was hoping it would be it appears to be very well built. I have used it once so far and it worked just fine looking forward to continued use.

This unit is exactly what I needed. Works well. No issues at all. I can mount my 5th wheel hitch assembly is wide enough to mount over top without removing the spider when I need to.

Had to hit one of my rails with a 2 lb sledge just a fuzz to let the tab drop in. The locking tabs are a good idea for the pins. I put my late grandfather’s old classic padlock from his jon boat on one of the tabs. A little nostalgia.
I really like the convenience of this interchangeable hitch. I have the fifth wheel hitch and the goose neck hitch.
