With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your gooseneck trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance.

Easy-to-Remove, Simple-to-Store Hitch Ball

The durable steel hitch ball included with the Turnoverball system secures in the hitch with a sturdy, 5/8" thick steel pin that is incorporated into the end of the operating handle. To lock the ball in place, drop it into the hitch hole in the bed of your truck. Then rotate the handle in your driver's-side wheel well counterclockwise until the latch engages. When the latch is engaged, the spring-loaded pin on the end of the handle will be inserted all the way through the base of the hitch ball, forming a strong, solid connection and ensuring absolute security when you're towing.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Operation

When you're done towing, remove the hitch ball by simply pulling the handle out as far as it will go and then rotating it clockwise until it unlatches. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the ball hole of the hitch. Then reengage the latch to secure the stowed ball in place.

Unlike typical gooseneck balls - which have round bases - the Turnoverball hitch ball is designed with a square base. This makes latching the ball in the hitch easier because the base won't rotate inside of the hitch like a round base might, so lining the pin up is a snap. The base of the ball also fits tightly within the ball hole during storage. Because only the corners of the base contact the sides of the socket, any dirt or grime that gets into the hitch will fall through the socket, thus helping to prevent any buildup that could cause the ball to seize up in the hitch.

Simple, Custom Installation

This hitch is custom designed for your vehicle. The included mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 4" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.

Once you have the hitch brackets and body installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the hitch ball.

B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Accessories

B&W makes it easy to tow just about anything. With the many adapters and accessories available, the Turnoverball can be made to work with almost any gooseneck trailer. Hitch balls are available that have a built-in rise, an offset, and even a different connection type. Add on the Companion fifth-wheel hitch - which attaches directly to the Turnoverball with no other parts required - and you can tow your fifth-wheel trailer. Even a truck bed utility rack is available so that you can easily haul ladders and lumber with the load placed on the hitch (and therefore your truck's frame) instead of your bed rails.

2012 Ford Transit Connect

This was my Second Hitch to order from etrailer. The first was on my 2012 Ford Transit Connect. This time was on my newly purchased 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel truck. It did not have the Goosneck Hitch and I have Horses and use a Trailer to transport them. Instead of paying Much More to have the hitch put in, I elected to do it myself. I looked at the Video and read the instructions Twice before starting. Since I am almost 75, I need the help of my son. While he was at work, I did most of the work myself. When he got off work, we finished the job. I will continue to purchase from etrailer. The items fit Perfectly and instructions are Great. In the picture, is Sophie, my dog which watched as we worked. 405070

Hitch works great. I pull a 25 foot tandem dual with equipment and hay. Hitch is strong and hook up is convenient. Instructions were really close, I had only a couple minor adjustments. I installed it on an older 2000 F250 and was pleased that it went on as instructed. I used a rack to lift the truck so that was a big help. 493533

2009 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

It took me a while to get this hitch installed because there were after market airbag suspension supports that were in the way. After I removed them the installation went a bit smoother. The B&W instructions were so light, I was glad to had the opportunity to view the etrailer.com resource video and other helpful informaiton in determining the rear airbag support could be removed without causing a structural issue to the truck. So if you got these airbags install, know that they can be removed so you can take advantage of this high quality hitching system. I used impact wrenches to loosen the old and install the new bolts... made life a lot easier than with the standard wrenches, so worth the price i invested in the right tools for the job. 405136

2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I bought this about a year ago for my 2000 F250. When I received it in the mail the mail i noticed a hole in the box and the ball missing. I think this was the shippers fault and not B&W or etrailer. I emailed etrailer about the missing ball and they shipped me another ballfor free and very quickly! I was pleased with the service from etrailer. I was also very pleased with the hitch. It is the most expensive hitch at roughly $420 but I'm glad i got it. Installation was pretty easy easy and the system works great for my application. One word of advice; take the ball out if you're not using it in the winter time because the ball will freeze in there!!! Overall pleased with B&W and etrailer. Would do business with both again. 496339

2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I purchased the B & W turnover ball hitch from E Trailer for my 2006 Ford F250 SuperDuty. Jan in customer service was very helpful. I received the hitch within 2 days. My wife and I installed it according to the instructions and installation video on their website. E trailer really did their homework on the installation of their hitches. We got the hitch insatlled with minimal problems. All you have to do is follow the video/instuctions. I am very pleased with the hitch and would recommend ETrailer and the B&W hitch to anyone who tows. I tow a 5th wheel with a Ranch Hitch Gooseneck adapter. Now I dont have to deal with the 5th wheel hitch in the bed of my truck. I will continue to purchase other towing accessories from ETrailer. A wonderful experience. 163592

Suprised how quickly again etrailer was on shipping out! Holiday week and the they had it on its way the day I ordered it. I always have had great success with etrailer. Simple to install hitch with the directions and online video instructions. Hardest part was drilling the 4" hole in the floor of the bed. Again the video had excellent tips to aide with that. We were really surprised how quickly it was to install. Absolutely love the quick way the ball flips over to remove it out of the way for the use of the truck bed. Only thing I would do different, order the rubber cover for the bottom of the ball to keep debris out of the hitch while inverted. Going to place an order for one now from etrailer! 735337

ETrailer was really helpful when I called them with a question. Was installing pretty easy but since I have a older truck bed wasn’t exactly straight so put 2x4 under floor jack and was able to raise it enough to install my rails underneath without it hitting shock like it was first doing. Took few hours but looks good. Haven’t used it so can’t give a rating for how well it actually tows heavy loads. I plan on towing my gooseneck trailer with tractor which should be around 25k pounds. 778649

Ford F-350 Super Duty

Decided to install this my self, with a second pair of hands from my neighbor. It was going into my wife's '04 F350 dually, so I measured about 5 times before I drilled out the 4" hole in the bed. :-) Installation went exactly according to the instructions. What's not apparent in the product description is that the various mounting holes in the cross members and side plates have some designed-in elongation that all fine-tuning of the position of the center plate, to allow for slight correction if you don't drill The Hole in the exact correct spot (in your WIFE's truck). the installation took about 4 hours, including beer breaks. All and all I now see why this B&W hitch gets such high marks. Super heavy duty hardware, everything fits the way the instructions say it should fit, and the finished product looks very professional. I am quite happy with the outcome, but more important, my wife is happy. :-D 777561

  • What is the Maximum Gooseneck Towing Capacity of a 2001 Ford F-350 with 7.3L Diesel
The only true way to find out the gooseneck towing capacity of your 2001 Ford F-350 is to subtract the gross vehicle weight (GVW) from the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) which should both be displayed on the white sticker inside your door jamb. This is the correct procedure to determine gooseneck towing capacity according to the diesel supplement for your owner's manual. They do not give exact figures for this as it will vary by vehicle. • Is There a Difference Between B&W Gooseneck Hitches BWGNRK1108-5W and BWGNRK1108
There is no difference between those two part numbers on your end. If you ordered either part number you'd get the same B and W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch part # BWGNRK1108. We have two part numbers though as this hitch shows up in the gooseneck and fifth wheel fitguides since Companion hitches like the part # BWRVK3400 fit it directly. The two part numbers allow us to organize them in our system and fitguides easier.

  • How Much Clearance Between Bed Rail of 2019 Ford F-250 and Gooseneck is Required
The newer trucks are a bit taller than the older ones but in general the bed rail heights and trailer heights are still compatible.
