Automatic Leveling for Your Travel Trailer

LC672136 Ground Control TT Automatic Travel Trailer Leveling System

It's a long and difficult process to get a travel trailer level with manual jacks, chocks, and wedges. The Ground Control TT automatic electric trailer jack system provides the easiest, most efficient way to level your trailer. With automatic leveling, you don't need to go through the trial and error of referencing levels and manipulating jacks one at a time.

The Ground Control TT can also correctly position your trailer for hookup with the hitch recognition feature. This time-saving function stores your trailer's position when you unhook from your tow vehicle so that it can automatically return your trailer to that position when you're ready to hitch back up again.

Touchpad with Lighted LCD Screen

LCD Touch Pad

The included, easy-to-use touchpad makes leveling your RV as simple as pressing a few buttons. The lighted LCD screen provides helpful prompts and alerts you to the status of the system. There are also indicator lights that let you know what functions are being performed.

OneControl Compatibility

One Control App

OneControl technology lets you control and monitor the Ground Control TT with your smartphone or tablet, as long as your trailer or RV is equipped with the factory-installed OneControl system and has Wi-Fi access. Just download the OneControl app onto your iOS or Android device to get started.

Motorized Jacks with Hall Effect Technology

Ground Control TT Jacks

The motorized jacks included with the Ground Control TT system employ Hall effect technology to precisely and quickly raise and lower your RV. These jacks use sensors to measure the number of motor revolutions per minute instead of amp draw. This allows for more precise control over the motor than you'd have with conventional motorized jacks, which results in more accurate leveling of your trailer.

Manual access ports are located on the bottom and the top of each jack's motor so that the jacks can still be raised or lowered in the event of a power failure. To use these ports you must have a 3/8" drive ratchet and extension (not included). The bottom ports also require a 5/16" socket (not included).

Installation

Upgrading your rig with the Ground Control TT system is simple. The power tongue jack slides through the hole in the coupler on the trailer A-frame and secures to the included mounting plate. The 2 landing gear C-jacks mount to the existing points on your RV and secure with included hardware. The 2 rear jacks come with mounting brackets that bolt onto I-beam frames with included hardware. Mounting the jacks may require drilling. Leveling sensors are also included for both the front and rear jacks. These will be mounted in line with the center of the frame.

The control module for the system mounts in a compartment under the coach with included hardware. This module has a wiring harness that connects directly to your 12-volt battery. Wiring harnesses are also included that connect the jack motors, sensors, and the touchpad to the control module. The touchpad mounts in a compartment on the side of the trailer with a clear view of the coupler.

One small part was missing from my Ground Control TT. Carol Korren expedited delivery of the missing part and the UPS truck pulled up at the moment I needed the part. Fantastic customer service!

by:

We love our one touch jack system. We used in on a 3 month camping trip out west setting up probably 40 plus times and we continue to use our camper and the jacks work great!

by:

This is life changing. Installation is well worth the time, effort, and money. Once installed, it truly took less than three minutes to deploy and level my travel trailer. Noah at etrailer was excellent to work with from beginning to end. Great customer service and support!

Great we love how easy it is to setup now. While I disconnect the truck wife hooks up the electrical. When the camper is leveling my wife and I are hooking up the water. Thats it. All done with the basics. Now the steps and slide. We are completed in less than 30 minutes from backing in.

Just had item installed a couple of days ago and as of now is working just fine. The shipping was an issue though. I was originally told that I was to receive the product on 2/16/24 and then I received another email that it would arrive on the 12th by 7pm but it never showed. I then got an update that it would be delivered on the 13th by 7pm and then they changed the time to 8pm and again it didn't show up. This happened as well on the 14th and on the 15th I finally received a call from the freight company that it would be delivered on the 16th (the original ship date). During this time waiting for this item I had to cancel two different appointments and re-schedule them. Something has to be done about this in the future so your customers can truly know when their item will arrive

This has definitely been one of the greatest additions to our Stryker travel trailer. Order was received a day earlier than expected and all in good condition. Installation for myself and two other guys was a slight bit time consuming (due to my wanting all the wires hidden in the underbelly of the trailer). Watching the system level my trailer, with a touch of a single button, impresses me still today a year later. Great purchase and I would definitely recommend this product.

Amazing product, if not a luxury product. I installed on a Coleman 1805RB. The small RV required the jacks mount in slightly different distances than the instructions due to interference from underbody components and limited space. But clearance and function has not been an issue. I was able to keep the tilt sensors within the spec using an extension plate. It took me quite a bit of time to install, but I work slow and take my time. Drilling the holes to mount the jacks took quite a bit of time. The best location on the 1805RB for the control board is more towards the back, which required modifications to cable lengths or excess cable as the system seems more designed from front mounting of the control board.

I used a second battery setup and an isolated ground to keep the RV and the Ground Control system on separate circuits. As such, both the + and - wires of the power circuit are fuse protected.

Sometimes, the jacks get stuck and throw an error. Try manually cranking them down a bit to "unstuck" them. Remember to disconnect the connectors at the Jacks to manually crank or you will fight with the Hall effect. Investing in a good Deutsch Connector kit and crimper helps when changing the cable lengths. Also investing in a hydraulic lug crimper makes the job much easier. I also used marine-grade, tin-plated copper lugs on the heavy gauge wire connections. The main power studs are too close together on the control board and large lugs get very close to shorting out. Plus they seem rather fragile when using heavy gauge wire as need for a rear install of the control board.

The operation has been smooth and relatively flawless. Remember to push both arrows on the outdoor pad to get things started. Watching the jacks level is fun and the result is good. It is really nice at night or driving rain. My RV is well under the weight limit of 10,000 lbs being a 5,000 lb setup. At times, the wheels may lift off the ground, but the RV stays solid with the four jacks down.

Great idea and engineering from Lippert.

This works great and has been the very best upgrade on any RV/Trailer I have every owned. I will never own another trailer that does not have this.

by:

Coming from the days of manually leveling off at camper with multiple attempts and borderline ruining camping trips yelling at each other. The system makes leveling the camper a breeze. I just hit a button and the go do something else while the camper "dances".

by:

I love these jacks I would recommend to anyone who has the time and know how to install these. I installed these on a Minnie plus 31BHDS 35.5 foot travel trailer. It’s hasn’t let me down yet leveling the trailer every time. Even so much that it will lift the tires off the ground on one side to achieve it. Even with the wheels off the ground all doors and cabenits work perfect. The install was tough for one person took me three full days. The way my camper was set up I couldn’t follow there instructions exactly on the placent distances of the jacks but I was within a foot and it works. It has a touch screen for in the camper which after initial set up I haven’t needed to use it. The other control i installed on the exterior front driver side and that’s the one I use every time. It’s so easy now I press 1 button and its level every time. This really makes setting up much faster and less stress I don’t have to yell back and forth with my wife which she hates finding level. Great product so far.

by:

My son and I installed the jacks and they work great. I had Lippert electric stabilizers so once those were removed I was able to install the jacks in the same location. It took me about three days, working just a couple hours a day to get the jack framwork installed and then my son came and helped install the actual jacks to the mounts. So if you took two whole days you could probably get it completed.

It has been a year since we installed the Jacks and they have been working flawlessly. There have been times when I had to manually level the trailer because the ground wasnt level enough to begin with but it is easy enough and is not a problem. The hitch height feature is great as I dont have to reset the tongue jack to hitchup. All in All I would definately recommend this system.

Be careful product would not fit on my trailer, they wanted exorbitant amount of money to return so I’m stuck with it, asked for for clarification from management but got poor service from them.

After a hiccup all things turned out great. Delivered on time and off loaded in good shape. We have always had good service with Etrailer. Will order SOMETHING again. Thanx.

Not as good as expected. Works half the time. Other half we have to reset. Am not happy. Have called two rv repair shops that said they would be out to look at problem and neither showed up. Do you have anybody in Brownsville TX area that makes house calls? We are parked and right rear fault wont let us retract jacks. Glad we are not in a hurry to get anywhere soon. Response would come in handy. Thanx

by:

It is a awesome kit and not hard at all to install and wire up and it works great. The people hear are great to deal with too.

by:

One of the best investments I have made. You get to the camp site, turn it on and tell it to level. Step back and wait. Takes 5 to 10 minutes.
I installed it my self. I spent about a week getting every thing installed. My only problem was where to put the controller. Our camper has dual vanities so I ended up using the area under one for them for the controller and all the extra wiring. I attached all the wiring to the frame. I could have fished thru the floor system but I did not want the wiring loose so it could bounce around. My suggestion is to get the install instructions and totally understand all the components, where you want to install them before ordering the unit.

Product works great as long as you push the correct buttons and leave it alone and let it do it’s thing. You can be in the trailer while it is setting up or you have to reset the computer. Instruction tell up that. I give it a 10. One thing I did do was bolt a stackable leveling block on the pad. Once you start the set up it’s hard to run around the trailer placing them in the correct spot before the pads go down

by:

My order had parts missing and when I tried to call them they would not answer the phone or l would be put on hold and no one would ever answer. After many attempts I was able to talk to someone. I explained to her what was missing and she told me she would look into it and get back to me. That has been 3 months now and I have not heard anything. Lucky for me my installer was able to fabricate the parts that were missing and got me going. I would not recommending this company to anyone.

by:

This system works great, really glad I installed! It certainly takes a little time and some knowledge but instructions were good and is worth the effort. My TT is pretty close to the max rated but is no problem for the jacks to lift the tires off the ground if needed to get level. Makes quick work of setting up at a camp ground and I always feel like I’m showing off when I hit auto level then go park the truck. Also makes the trailer feel very sturdy compared to scissor jacks.

by:

This is by far the best investment I've made into our camping experience! I installed this kit on my Forest River 33' Toy Hauler. I did the install by myself and it took about 8-9 hours over a weekend. It would have gone much faster with another set of hands! We camp and ride a lot with some big group of freinds and the envious looks I get from everyone when we pull in, push a button and auto-level are worth the effort I put into the install! Not only is setting up and tearing down camp a cinch, this kit also solved a major pet peeve my wife had. The scissor stabilizer jacks never really "stabilized" the rig! Any time someone was walking, shifting in bed, etc.. you could feel every movement. The Ground Control is so strong and solid you don't feel a thing! I highly recommend this kit!

by:

Looks good I haven't installed it yet hopefully in the next few days

by:

Absolutely love the Leveling System. Once you’ve had this , can’t go back. Note stacking blocks or driving up onto levelers .... pull in , press the Auto Level button .... start camping and let the system do its thang!! Love it. Thanks to Etrailer , best place to buy just about anything.

by:

The tongue jack broke internally a month ago. Lippert may be sending me a new one. Other than that, we loved the unit when it was all working. It was very difficult to install. It took a RV moble tech three days to get it all installed and working

  • Recommended Electric Jacks For A Gooseneck Trailer
The only way to get an electric option would be to use 5th wheel landing gears, like the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010, and weld them to the frame of the trailer. If this trailer is an enclosed or camper style gooseneck trailer then these jacks will be sticking up into the living/storage area and you'll have to make modifications. In order to confirm fit of the Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System part # LC672136 you'll need to review the installation instructions (attached below) and confirm fit yourself as there is no year, make, and model testing available from the manufacturer.
