Since installing the Strong Arm system (which was quite easy to do) movement about the trailer is no longer an irritating issue.
Strongman’s were pretty straight forward to install. Packaging did not come with T handles so I called the great folks at etrailer and new handles were shipped out no questions asked and arrived in 3 days.
My package was damaged from the delivery people but when I call etrailer they responded very well and very quickly with my product. Thank you for the
Excellent service
Took the sway out 95%. Excellent customer service! Quality product.
These weren’t the easiest to install but man do they make the trailer way more stable. I also added two manual stabilizers under the slide out. The JT Strong Arms and the slide out stabilizers, you can jump around inside and can barely tell. Great addition.
First, let me say the service I received from etrailer was superb. Now that’s out of the way, the very mixed reviews on the JT’s Strong Arm product is very deserved. I have not gotten to use them yet so I am just commenting on the installation.
I’m not the best mechanic in the world but was trained by USAF as an auto mechanic at the end of the Vietnam conflict so I do have some experience. The directions are nearly useless, frankly. I would rather have had them tell me in general terms how they operate and let me figure it out on my own. Once I put away the instruction sheet they were easy to install.
One tip I’m glad I read in reviews, and not mentioned in the instructions, watch where your electrical and gas lines route along the inside (sometimes hidden) part of I-beams and C-channel. Yes, you should always do that when drilling, but when frustration from reading bad directions gets in the mix it’s even more important. That one tip saved me time, money and possibly injury.
The “self-tapping” bolts did not self-tap, either. I tried running them in by hand and with a cordless 1/4” impact. Both times the self-tapping just stripped threads off which meant I had to go buy more ny-lock nuts. I got a good education on how scissor jacks are made, too. Not from the instructions, but from a mistake I made putting in the swing bolts and letting the center piece of the jack “gearbox” come loose. That could come in handy in the future.
I also read that someone ruined a scissor jack trying to move the jack up or down with the Strong Arm T-handle tightened. I am capable of learning from other’s mistakes so I am putting 3/4” silicone vacuum hose caps over my jack so I can’t run them up or down without first checking the T-handle. That should be included in the kit IMHO. The T-handle should also have a tether since it does not have any kind of thread-lock to keep them from working loose as you drive down the road if you don’t re-tighten them in the stored/up position.
I will update my review when I have a chance to use them.

After one year and multiple uses of the JT Strong Arms I have to say the frustration from their poor installation documents may have been worth it. My trailer is rock solid now. Everything else I wrote stands and the caps I use on the jack has saved me from ruining jacks. The tethers to the T-handles have saved lost handles, too. Overall, they are a good addition to my trailer.
We have motorized stabilizer jacks on our 33'camper. The JT Strongarm jacks did not provide the extra stability we were hoping for. There is still a lot of motion when anyone in the camper moves.

It is unusual that you would have so much movement in the camper. Would you be able to send a picture of how they are installed?
Every time we camped the Jayco T30F toy hauler seemed to move or sway when walking around in it. Laying in bed the dogs would get a drink and they would layi down which made the trailer feel like it moving or swaying. It felt like I was motion sickness from moving. I ordered the StrongArms after that camping trip. I installed the Strong Arms just before the camp out the following week. It was great no movement. Rock solid like having a foundation under the camper. What a night and day difference. I will install them on any future camper. We like to show off how stable the camper. A must for all campers!

Excellent, it’s like having a foundation under our camper. I’m so glad we added these to the camper. We love the camper but stability while camping was an issue. These should be a standard on all campers or highly recommended by a dealer. You will not be disappointed. However after the first camp outing you will ask yourself why you didn’t have these one the camper sooner. Happy Camping!
Delivery was prompt and accurate; the stabilizer was double boxed and arrived in tact. I have only installed it and tested it out at home; so far it seems to do what it advertised. The components seem to be high quality and well made. If you have any mechanical ability, installation is easy and straight forward; the instructions give dimensions and a few photos. If your camper is like mine (having 3/4” wide cross brackets) you may want to fabricate a wider bracket to bolt the included 1.5” center brackets to on the front and back. I did this by bolting 2.5” angle iron to the cross beams on the camper.

After using these over the camping season this year, I would say it was worth every penny. These stabilizers take all of the movement out of the camper. It is very noticeable that that camper no longer has any movement and makes sleeping a lot easier.
It works fairly well. No system will be perfect in taking out all motion, but this coupled with x-jacks on the wheels takes out 95% of the wiggle.
Absolutely love the JT Strong Arms. I get asked about them all the time on our 2016 Jayco 267BHSW. I give them a quick demo with the t-handles loose and with them tightened, virtually no shaking at all any more. The only movement I have is still in the axles/suspension, I can eliminate that further with jacks in front/behind of the wheels, but I'm ok with that little movement for now.

After 1 year the JTs are working great, I get asked about them a lot. Besides the slight bounce in the leaf springs of the camper when the JTs are locked in, the JTs do their job and do it well!
These do a great job of taking the majority of the "wobble" out of the chassis when setup but they don't take all of it away. They are a big improvement over just having the stabilizers. Installation wasn't as easy I would like. I had to fabricate some cross supports and I went through a few drill bits making it all happen but it's in there for good at this point.

Still doing the best that in can. If you want absolute stillness, that can be accomplished with some jack stands on the frame and a strong hydraulic lift.
After owning campers that only had scissor jacks these were a awesome addition to our camper. We have kids and a 98# labrador dog that shook the whole camper. Installed these and the shake was 98% eliminated. I did rig up a temporary stabilizer to see if what they were saying was true before I bought them. My half ass attempt to copy the stabilizer to see if it would work, which it did work, convinced me to buy these and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
As I have not used them yet but have installed them they were pretty easy to install. I have a 37 foot long travel trailer so I hope that when I use them they will stop all of the rocking in my Rv

I have had the opportunity to put 5he strong arms to the test. And I have to say they work great and I had less movement in my RV. But you have to know how to use them to get full results. So this is how I have found out that works best. With you camper unhooked from vehicle level the camper front to back just with the tongue jack. Then let it down by counting to five. Then put your back jacks down snug and tighten strong arms. Then go back to tongue jack count to five and let it back up . Then put your front jacks down and tighten the strong arms . Then let some weight off of the tongue so the weight will be on the strong arms then you should be good.
The JT strongarm kit is great! Install took only about two hours from start to finish. The end product does what it says it will, I tried to shake the trailer from the outside and inside and it stood still. The only issue I had was the rear arms would hit the scissor jack on retraction, it was a easy fix I just spaced the eye bolt in the jack out about 3/8 " and it clears fine now. I wish I would have installed these years ago. I am a very satisfied customer and etrailer is great with shipping times too.
JT Strong Arm setup on all four corners of 27' DFOX toy hauler. Unit is noticeably more stable with Strong Arm system installed. System is easy to use and worth the $. This system is not a gimmick. The trailer used to bounce around when kids were playing in the back. Platform is much more solid now.
Nice package and an effective solution to a lot of the bounce when walking in the RV. Installed myself and pretty straight forward. You will need a good set of drill bits and a 3/8"-16 UNC tap depending on your scissor jack setup. Watched some install videos on them and decided they were right for me.
Overall they did help stabilzer my trailer. T-handles could use some help though. I relocated the two back ones from the top to the side and made for easier access and designed a wrench/pipe to tighten and loosen them.
Works very well. Greatly improved stability. I did have to order another pair of mounting brackets because the 2 pairs were not enough for my application (2016 Coachmen Apex 276BHSS)
Great products !!! Had a bar missing from the box but emailed customer service and they had one sent to me asap!!!! Thanks again guys and girls for all the great customer service support!!!!
I researched many ways to take the sway out of our camper and this made the most sense. The video associated with it really peaked my interest, so I bought the set. Once installed, I was amazed!! I’ve recommended them to several friends and coworkers and the ones that bought and installed were impressed and have been passing it forward as well. Great product and I’m heavy skeptic.
Every time I research something and I believe it will help us out, you have it. I deal with local camper places and they are great, BUT, they have order it on line like I do. Video and product search is easy and informative. THANK YOU, for making camping easy and fun
Make trailer very stable. Bolts that go through jacks were extremely long. I had to cut them off and chamfer the ends.
Rock solid. Easy install. Would buy again. Lived in my travel trailer for a year while building our house...these made it way more bearable. Even in 60 mph gusts the trailer was steady.
We love the j t strongarms. Our grey wolf 23mk would shake like crazy just walking in it and now it is rock solid. Worth every penny
