Question:
Hi Team, I have a travel trailer made by Summit Trailer. Its a custom built gooseneck that weights 21,000 lbs. The crank on it it very difficult to use making it challenging to hook and unhook to the truck. Whats the best product to lift the front of this trailer using an electric system? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The only way to get an electric option would be to use 5th wheel landing gears, like the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010, and weld them to the frame of the trailer. If this trailer is an enclosed or camper style gooseneck trailer then these jacks will be sticking up into the living/storage area and you'll have to make modifications.
These jacks will come with two motors and two separate switches that you can use independently or together to raise and lower the trailer. It has 5-3/4" W x 8" L footplates to help distribute the weight and prevent sinking into softer surfaces.
