Trailer Hub Grease Sealby: Sid12/19/2021
etrailer is my go to place for trailer and RV related parts. They have what I need at a fair price, ship quickly, and the parts are always right. The installation videos are a great help if you are not sure what you are doing. These seals I ordered are spares just in case I have a bearing failure.

As mentioned above these these were spares, but I did order another set with bearings and that set as been working flawlessly for a year and we have put over 6,000 miles on the RV in that time.

bought these bearings and seals approximately a year ago and installed them myself. I watched the instruction video etrailer has a just followed it. Everything went smoothly and we have put approximately 6,000 miles on them since the install. All is good.

I was unable to find the double lip type grease seal at the local auto parts stores. I prefer the double lip over the single lip. Anyway I have bought many Items from etrailer and have been very happy with their service. It's time for me to service my trailer bearings again and I'll be calling etrailer for more seals.

As it turned out there was a problem with the shipping of the seals after the order last year. I had needed the seals in a certain time frame as I was getting our camper ready for travel. I couldn't wait any longer so I had to resort to getting the single lip seals at a local auto parts store. Eventually I got the seals from etrailer and I've been storing them for the next bearing service.

So far they are working as intended and while I haven't pulled the drums off to check, the brakes are working well so I think the seals are keeping the grease where it belongs. The trailer has been used more heavily then normal and has had about 5000 miles on it since installing these.

the spring inside seal like to drop out when installing, verify position of spring prior to installing on axle, happens to me 1 out of 4 times, easy to put back in place with 90 deg pick set.

I am surprised that I got this email a year after the purchase. Originally there was a shipping problem and I didn't get them before our planned departure date with our camper. I had to go to a local auto parts store for seals but unfortunately all they sell is the single lip type. I did eventually get the seals from Etrailor and I saved them. I just finished repacking the bearings yesterday, May 29th and used the new seals. I will be ordering another set soon for my next year servicing.

I bought a used 2002 camper with 2 dexter d-52 axles and I wanted to grease the bearings. I took it apart and the pads feel off the shoes so found this website and upgraded my system to the 23-428 & 23-429 never adjust brake assembly plus 2 new seals. Less than an hour an axle and you are done. I recondmend these guys for any parts I need in the future...

The shipment wasn’t packaged right and the seal came bent and in-usable. Save your money and buy from your local supplier for a 3rd the price and better quality.

The seals are great and an exact replacement for what I have. Making 4 stars instead of 5 due to shipping. The postal service took longer with multiple delays, which I can’t put on etrailer. However, there was 2 day delay from when etrailer said was shipped and the USPS said it arrived at their facility. Don’t know if etrailer or USPS. I will pay more to have sent any other way than USPS in the future.

There should be a number stamped on the outside of your grease seal. If not you will need to take an accurate measurement of the outside diameter of your existing seal, or the inside diameter of the mounting surface for the seal in the hub.
