Upgrade the factory pin box on your fifth-wheel trailer to this cushioned model that dampens road shock and reduces back-and-forth chucking for a more relaxed towing experience. Unlike air bags, the internal rubber spring requires no maintenance.

Most standard pin boxes are constructed of steel and are built with the sole purpose of connecting your fifth-wheel trailer to your tow vehicle. There is no cushioning built in, so a factory pin box doesn't do anything to provide a comfortable ride when you're hauling your fifth-wheel trailer.
This MORryde pin box, however, is built with an internal rubber spring that absorbs road shock and vibration at the connection point. So if you're driving on unpaved roads or uneven pavement, this pin box will prevent any road shock and vibration you encounter from transferring from your tow vehicle to your fifth-wheel trailer and vice versa. In other words, the rubber spring takes the brunt of the impact so you and your towing setup don't have to. And because this unit uses a rubber spring instead of an internal air bag like some other upgraded pin boxes, there's no maintenance required.
The internal rubber shear spring is optimized for trailers that range from 18,001 lbs to 21,000 lbs to ensure that it provides just the right amount of shock absorption for your application. If this pin box were to be used on a larger trailer, the spring would be too stiff to provide enough cushion. And if your trailer's GVWR was less than 18,000 lbs, then the spring would be too flexible to provide adequate support.
Chucking, the back-and-forth jerking movement you feel in your cab when towing, occurs most frequently during starts and stops and while making turns. A typical, factory pin box creates a rigid connection without much give. So when a harsh stop occurs, all of the trailer's forward momentum gets forced through that stiff connection, slamming the king pin in the hitch and jerking your truck around.
To combat this, glide pads are built into the MORryde pin box that allow the skid plate to shift up to 3" forward and backward and 1-1/2" side to side to compensate for some of that violent motion so that you don't have to feel it in your cab.
This MORryde pin box is a direct replacement for your existing Lippert Rhino pin box, so the installation is very straightforward. After removing your old pin box, the MORryde can be mounted into place using the same hardware and bolt holes used by the factory pin box.
Because of the weight of the unit, you'll want a couple of friends to help you lift it into place during installation. Once the hardware is securely bolted down, you'll be ready to go.

All was good except it was short on hardware. 8 bolts, 10 washer 5 nuts, 6 lock washers. I needed 10 of everything. Rino box's have 6 bolt that go into welded nuts and only 4 bolts with nuts. Even using those I'm still two short. 50 miles to a hardware store in search of 3/4 nuts.
Sad day.

The pin box was delivered on time, it’s a pin box, and I have not installed it yet. But it’s performance, or quality, or lack of either, would be a reflection on MoRyde not etrailer. Delivery was on time and the etrailer staff had answered my questions prior to ordering in a prompt manner.
Probably the single best addition to my fifth wheel. We have a grand design solitude 2930. Connecting to the trailer is so much softer and taking off from stops is smoother. The chucking is all be gone. I’d highly recommend this as one of the first upgrades

After talking to your customer support staff and picking out the right pin box, I ordered it the next day on line. Shipping was fast and it arrived in good shape. The Pin box came with all the bolts and Hardware, it took about an hour to install on my 2024 Momentum M class RV. I took it for a 2-hour road trip and you cannot believe the difference in the ride. I am never disappointed when I deal with etrailer.
This kingpin box was promptly delivered after ordering. We installed the new Moryde today and it went on very easily. Although it is very heaving, I used my tractor with a front end loader to remove the old pin box and install the new which really made it very easy. I hooked up to my truck to test the level and everything was perfect. Very satisfied! Thank you etrailer.
Entirely better experience towing, my wife and I picked up our 1st 5th wheel toyhauler camper and towing it home it started jerking back n fourth, not knowing what the hell was going on she wanted to return it. I did some research and found this Moryde cushioned pin box and it’s super smooth. We’re both very happy and feel a lot more comfortable towing places.
What an amazing difference! I drive my 5th wheel from South Dakota to Arizona and it was the smoothest ride I've had since I bought our RV. The chucking was almost non-existent. I feel much safer with my MORryde pin box than I ever have before.
Excellent buying experience. We were able to remove and install the new pin box ourselves. E-trailer’s videos were very helpful as well. Super excited to experience an improved ride.

I bought this pinbox to replace the “CURT Flex-Air” unit installed at the factory which just about ripped my truck in half every time you hit a bump (2024 Ram 3500 dually with air bags).
After installing the MORryde cushioned fifth wheel pinbox, the trailer towed like it was on air. Truck drove like it should and feedback over bumpy roads was smooth and predictable. I had previous experience with a trailer and pinbox setup like this before and the towing experience was identical.
100% recommend this product to smooth out your towing experience. An excellent product and way better than a Flex-air system.
Briele was very helpful making sure I received the correct pin box, it was delivered 4 days before the estimated delivery date. Install took about 30 minutes. Great experience with etrailer
I replaced my rhino pinbox on my 5th wheel with the morryde pinbox. I had this on my other trailer and it worked great. This setup works just as good as before.
