RV Steps with snap-on, 17 inch wide
Snap-on step setups slip into a mounting bracket, so you can put them on when you stop and lift them off to stow just as quickly. The 17 inch wide step gives you a compact footprint that's easy to place in tight spots. If wet surfaces are a concern, adding grip tape to the treads is a simple upgrade many find helpful.
They can be quick to put on and take off. Hardware attached to a camper without problems, and steps were set in place or stowed inside in under half a minute during roadside stops. Some found the steps a little heavy for smaller users, so consider the weight if you plan to remove them often.
Traction can vary, and some diamond textures can be slick when wet. Adding non-slip grip tape to the tread cut to fit helped and held up to water. Reflective or glow-in-the-dark grip tape can also make the 17" steps easier to see at night. If you'll be in socks, extra grip is worth adding to reduce slips.
It can be a solid fit when space is limited. Measure your entry and mounting area; one setup allowed up to 21" wide but had only 1" depth and no backside access for bolts. If you can't reach behind the mount, rivets were used successfully. Check for a clean, flat spot so the step seats securely and doesn't create a gap at the threshold.
Confirm the top step sits close to the doorway so you don't end up with a noticeable gap. A handrail adds confidence so you're not grabbing the door for support. If the ground isn't level, choose a placement that lets the steps sit flat and steady; a neoprene pad on the bottom leg helped reduce slipping on some setups.
