Can the Brophy Steel Scissor Steps be Installed on a Truck Tailgate

Can these steps be mounted to a tailgate? Just plan to use them for ease of access into the truck bed. I see that the other models have a decent applicability for tailgate use just want to make sure this model uses the same mounting system.

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can mount the Brophy Steel Scissor Steps, # SS04, to a truck tailgate. I recommend installing the mounting bracket on the top of the tailgate (see photo). To install the mounting bracket, you will want to use four 1/4 inch x 1-1/2 inch long lag screws. Brophy recommends pre-drilling the holes with a 5/32 inch drill bit.
