RV Steps with 6 Steps for high entry rigs

Built for tall entry heights, 6 steps reach high campers, flatbeds, and fifth wheels with a solid, secure feel. They can make entry easier for someone using a cane and work well for pets thanks to stable footing. Match your entry height carefully—some setups only need five, while extremely tall rigs may want more than six, which isn't always an option.
Not on every system. Some lines say not to convert a 6-step to a 7-step. On select scissor steps, a single add-on step is offered that installs in the middle and is 20" Long x 8" Deep—only if your steps match those dimensions. Check your brand and step size, and confirm whether add-on steps are approved for your model.
Either works—pick based on how you use your RV. Semi-permanent mounts stay on the rig; removable scissor steps stow separately and can be hinged or bracket-mounted. Verify the mount style you want before ordering. If your setup is unique, you may need a custom mount, and mounts can be sourced separately if you need to switch.
6-step RV steps are built for higher entry heights. Some options are designed for 46-1/2" - 60". Measure from the ground to the door threshold to confirm. If your rig sits extremely high, a 7th step may be needed, but some systems do not allow converting to 7. In those cases, consider extra-long legs, a booster step, or a foot stool to bridge the gap.
They can, as long as the bracket/assembly width matches your opening. Common bracket widths are 25-1/2" and 27-1/2". If your doorway measures exactly 28 inches, certain 6-step folding assemblies fit that space. Measure the inside of the frame and confirm the required bracket width before choosing.
