We ordered the steps and handrail together. To tell you the truth, we have not used the handrail because the grab bar, which is attached to the camper, extends far enough out that we can hold it while going up and down the steps. The steps are nice and sturdy. The only issue with the steps is that there is about a 6 inch gap between the top step and the camper. Therefore, in order to prevent someone or our dog from tripping or falling into this gap, my husband made a metal plate that we attach on to the top step to the camper. So far, so good. No accidents.
