Getting in and out feels steady with the built-in landing gear that keeps the bottom step planted on the ground. Each leg adjusts independently, so you can fine-tune the height for uneven surfaces. Large rectangular footplates keep the steps level and stop them from sinking into soft ground, giving a solid connection underfoot.
Each 20" wide x 8" deep aluminum step has built-in SureGrip tread for secure footing even in wet conditions. Glow tape along the sides charges in just 5 minutes of light and glows for up to 10 hours, lighting every step so you can come and go safely after dark.
The aircraft-grade aluminum steps are durable and rustproof, supported by stainless steel hinges bolted together for easy removal or replacement of individual steps. Bushing bearings make the scissor action smooth and long-lasting compared to standard riveted joints. With a 325 lb weight capacity, these steps hold steady without flexing.
When it’s time to roll, the steps collapse and fold into the white powder-coated steel mounting bracket. The bracket locks them securely in place, eliminating the need to remove or store them inside. A retention strap keeps them stowed tight and rattle-free, and you can add a TorkLift pin lock (sold separately) for extra security.
These 6-step scissor stairs are designed for entry heights between 46-1/2" and 58". The 7-1/2" rise between steps feels natural, and the 23" wide x 19-1/2" tall mounting bracket provides a solid connection point. No assembly is needed—the landing gear comes pre-installed and ready to use.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go scissor steps with landing gear. This comes with six steps and a white bracket. Now the biggest advantage to your GlowStep Stow N' Go is the height that's going to be available for your in bed, truck camper. So a lot of times there's a big gap between that camper door and the ground, this is going to take up that gap and provide a really strong connection between your camper and the ground. As you can see, even with it just propped up here, it's really not moving around too much, these are really solidly built. They are made of an aircraft grade aluminum, so they're going to be lightweight, but also very durable. It's also nice because we're not going to have any rust issues, you don't have to worry about them creating a mess in your camper over time. Again, they're going to be pretty lightweight, so it's not going to be too hard to get those collapsed up whenever you're ready to travel, or expanding them out.Whenever you are ready to travel, these are going to secure with a little rubber strap here on the bracket as you can see there.
So basically, you collapse it up, there are two pegs here, you're going to bring that rubber strap over those pegs and that's going to keep it all nice and sandwiched together. So you don't have to worry about removing the steps every time you're ready to travel, they can just stow right on the outside of your camper, so that's one less step to worry about there. They do come with the landing gear already attached. That's this little black foot down here at the bottom, it has a nice wide rectangular foot with some little rubber pads. So it's going to provide a good anchor point for that last step there. Those are adjustable up and down, so if you're on uneven terrain, you can adjust that to suit the height that you need.
Those do come pre installed, so you don't have to worry about getting these installed on there yourself. It is just a little spring retention inaudible 00:02:03 to get that installed in or out. It just snaps right there into the hole wherever you need. They are inde-(silence).

This Torklift stairway is very well engineered and constructed. Installation instructions are very clear an concise. The only problem that I encountered was that the bolt fishing device was too short to install the center and right side bolts on a Lance camper bumper, which is open on only one end. I solved this problem by using an electrical wire crimper to add apiece of piano to the fishing device. Seethe attached photos. Neither etrailer nor Torklift tech support had a solution for me. So , here it is .
Just installed these on my new Four Wheel camper. Had to add a 2 1/2" x3" block to accommodate the lower bolts. The steps feel very sturdy and look like they may have decent traction in icy conditions. I like that they can be collapsed and removed to store inside for driving on bumpy rough roads. I haven't been camping with these yet but i'm sure they will be safer and more stable than the foldable 2 step flimsy ladder we have been using.
I installed my tow N Go steps today. Instillation was easy and I think they will work well. The reason I did not give an excellent rating is because the bolt fisher TorkLift provides is two feet short of what is needed. The door on my truck camper is a touch right of center at the back. The door on the bumper is o the left so a five foot bolt fisher is needed. For the price of this unit I would think TorkLift could provide a longer fisher. I ended up soldering some single strand wire musky leader material to the provided bolt fisher to extend it. Had photos but would not upload.
E trailer always does a great job
Fit my custom camper perfect, easy installation I will prolly remove the steps when traveling but the setup will make it easy to put the back up and use.
Steps look great on my truck camper and they were easy to install. Huge improvement over what I had before.
The steps have completely solved our access problem with myself and my older dog. My husband modified them a bit to attach to the truck hitch and they work great for accessing our Lance camper.
Love the steps, but if you’re close to the max height, size up. Would have been a lot cheaper and easier for me to get the five step than to have to do the add a step kit
Hello,
The steps arrived in a box that was well dented, battered and in overall poor condition. I was skeptical that inside the steps would be Ok. However, after openoing I was surprised to see they in OK condition. The installation was relatively easy if you disconnect the steps from the bracket first. Otherwise, the weight would be too much for one person. After installation and opening and closing the steps as shown I could see the left handle to allow the steps to go in was bent. Not by much, but enough that I need to push left alittle to allow the steps to go in. We are leaving next week for a RV get away and will be able to provide a much thorough review once we arrive back home. I am impressed with steps in general with the quality and especially with the Customer Service. My only complaint is with the box and condition of the box after arriving at my home in such poor condition. Photos have been included with this review.
I have a Lance truck camper in the bed of a Ford superduty 4x4 truck. The door opening to the camper is about 40" above the ground when in the truck. The two step setup that was factory installed on the camper was simply too high above the ground to use. So I installed the Torklift 5 step scissor step system. It is very easy to use, very sturdy, and easily adapts to different ground heights if the camper is parked on a slope. I fabricated a steel bracket that mounts up under the camper to the factory installed mounting studs, then bolted the scissor steps to the new bracket.
These steps are perfect! They are easy to install, and easy to use once they are on the rig. We use our camper in the winter, so they can be a little slippery when wet. To fix that, we bought padded stick on treads, and that did the trick. Don’t hesitate buying them — they are so much better and so much easier to manage than any ladder or step stool solution.
The stairs are great. The adjustable feet keep the stairs level and solid to the ground. Also I ordered an additional bracket to relocate the stairs when towing a trailer..
What a great upgrade to our 2910 Palomino Truck Camper!
Installation was quick and easy.
3 step model is a perfect height while camper is on and off truck.
These steps are an incredible addition to our outdoor adventure camping trailer. East to install and they arrived quickly. Very happy with this purchase!
East peasy install if you can drill a hole, or six. All the hardware is included. I was lucky enough not to need the fish cable.
Four stars because the hitch pins that lock the steps to the bracket need improved (they hold it together when you use the steps..they are not great
Our truck camper came with a single swing down step that has worked well for years but as our doctor says ‘as our body’s continue to age’ we found our knees and balance weren’t what they use to be.
The installation was straight forward. We chose the installation option to close the gap between the mounting bracket and the first step. The only gripe is the wire that snakes the bolt thru the bumper. Come on TorkLift what we pay for these steps I don’t think a $2.00 part is going to hurt the profit margin. Supply one with enough length to do the job.
The steps are great, wish we had purchased them earlier.Easy to fold and extend and look great.
We are anxious to see how the work in camp.
Not perfect but the only solution for what I need. I have an existing Torklift bumper on my slide in truck camper. It came with one flip down step. My truck bed is very high and I need at least 5 steps to get in. It would have been great if Torklift made a set of these stairs specifically for this application where someone has already invested in their bumper. Like everything else Torklift, these are over priced for what they are but are still the best option.
I think they're GREAT!.......VERY HIGH QUALITY!....you won't be sorry you bought these.
I accidentally ordered this version, which is semi-permanent, instead of the TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps. No big deal because you can order the mount part separately instead of the potential hassle of a return. That said, the steps are perfect for my custom expedition truck style camper where the door sill is 54" off the ground!
