Climbing into a tall setup feels natural with these six aluminum steps sized for entry heights between 46-1/2" and 54". Each step is 20" wide and 8" deep, with a 7-1/2" rise for a comfortable climb. The scissor design extends fully to the ground for a steady, no-bounce feel, giving you confidence with every step. With a 325 lb weight capacity, they stay rock solid even when you’re carrying gear or helping someone up.
Built-in SureGrip tread keeps your footing steady even in wet or dusty conditions. Each step edge is lined with glow tape that charges in just 5 minutes of light and glows up to 10 hours. That means no fumbling with flashlights or worrying about dim campsites—the steps guide your way safely in the dark.

The aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel hinges make these steps durable and rustproof while keeping them lightweight. The hinges are bolted, so individual steps can be removed or replaced if needed. Users love how stable they feel compared to factory steps—solid enough for older adults, pets, or anyone who wants extra confidence getting in and out.
When it’s time to travel, the scissor design folds down neatly to about 15" deep and only weighs 40 lbs. That makes it easy to detach from the mounting bracket and store without taking up much space. The 21-1/2" wide mounting bracket holds the steps securely in place and lets you pop them off quickly when you’re ready to pack up.
You can customize these steps with add-ons like the GlowGuide handrail (TLA7621), SafeStep vinyl barrier (TLA7602), and DirtDestroyer boot brush (TLA7603), each sold separately. The handrail adds 25 lbs to the weight capacity, the barrier keeps pets safe between steps, and the brush helps keep dirt outside—simple ways to make your steps even more functional.

They fit perfectly. They are really stiff but should get a little better with time.
Excellent product
Our Palomino truck camper came with rear step bumper and a single flip down step.
The original bumper step was not very comfortable to use.
The TorkLift scissor steps are much better, safer and more comfortable!
These steps mount directly to the existing bumper brackets that the single step used. Perfect fit up!
Shipping and communication was great as well.
Thanks etrailer!
Great product. Light weight, sturdy, well worth the safety. Easy to install on camper, hook up and take down a snap. Pleasure to deal with etrailer, fast shipping and pleasant employees. Knowledgeable and helpful. Steps work in Canada!
These are very high quality steps! I mounted them to a large aluminum storage box that I have on a receiver style hitch plate The box and step combo make it really nice for getting up and into my camper. The nice thing about these steps is that you can purchase addition mounts and place them at other locations and use the same steps. They also fold and stow very neatly. I purchased the pin lock assy.... but if you have the room they are easy to remove and store elsewhere.
I give this product 4 stars.
Adding a side man door to my truck to rv conversion required a set of special folding steps.
After a year I am still impressed.
These stairs are strong and durable.
I weigh 250 lbs.
All through the construction phase of my project, I
have gone up and down, in and out hundreds of times carrying various construction related loads.
With all of the use to date, my TorkLift Scissor Steps are tight and right with many more years of service to enjoy in the future.

My camper came with the mounting bracket already attached so once I received my collapsible steps, I just inserted the two pins and boom they were ready to go very sturdy. Easy to apply could not be more satisfied. The only thing that these should have are adjustable feet on the end. I was not aware that this unit did not come with adjustable feet Other than that this would score 11 out of 10
This step has been perfect for our self-built campulance! It shows perfectly on the existing bumper/step and has been a game changer for us and our dogs. We did a 12,000 mile trip last fall and this step held up great! It's pricey, but absolutely worth it.
Great steps. We got them because I slipped on ice at night on our former sort of janky set up and ended up with a broken arm. Wanted something with more stability. Also wanted something easy to install and that needed little or no maintenance. These steps are it....but see below for the reason I gave them a 4 and not a 5 rating. Installed on a Four Wheel Camper Fleet. Installation was pretty straight forward, but every application will differ at least a little I would think. Really like the glow in the dark tape strip on each step. They are still working and still attached after a year. The one thing I don't like is the process you have to follow to attach them. Our dog rides in the camper so we have to attach the steps multiple times per day. You attach the steps to the mounting bar....sort of a rectangle with one of the long sides missing....using a 1/4 pin on each side. It works...and it doesn't take that long.....but it's alot of fumbling around to get it done. And it's clumsy at best for one person to do it by themselves. Torklift needs to do a better, simpler more elegant design. One other thing....unless you always are on flat level ground....make sure you get the optional leg levelers...one for each side. They will help you avoid that broken arm!!!
I’m extremely satisfied with the TorkLift RV steps I purchased from etrailer. Initially, I received defective parts, but I was able to quickly speak with a real, U.S.-based representative who promptly resolved the issue by sending replacement parts. I own a Wee Roll Nomad 14 camper, a custom DIY build that didn’t come with steps, and these TorkLift steps, paired with the landing gear, provide the perfect lower two-step setup for my rig. They feel incredibly stable and safe for entering and exiting the camper, and they look like a factory-matched fit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable step solution. (Pro-Tip, padlocks work as a great alternative to the removable pins) Thank you etrailer!!!!
The steps came very quickly from trailer. The truck camper I just bought already had a bracket for the glowstep so there really wasn't any instal needed. The 2 pins fit perfect in the bracket holes and the steps pull out very easily. The 4 steps are perfect height for my camper.
Bought the one in sale due to a blemish or damaged box. The blemishes were so minor most people wouldn't even notice.
These steps are rock solid and very well built
Thank you
Great Steps for my FWC Hawk, Fairly user friendly to install once I decided an installation plan.I mounted them below the door entry using the provided Lag Bolts with SikaFlex 221 applied to the bolts and to the mounting bracket. I plan to see how that holds up and might go back and through bolt the bracket if needed! I might also add the Landing Pad Feet after seeing how it does off-road on uneven terrain.
I have now purchased items twice from etrailer and have been extremely satisfied with the product and the service. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Good job and great service.
The Torklift steps are so functional and comfortable for my basement slide in. And etrailer is my goto for purchases of rv pieces and parts.
I found the stairs to be easily mounted to the existing hardware that was placed on my Bigfoot in 1996. Same manufacturer but a different model that is more accommodating and sturdy for older users. The glow steps are a nice addition after campfire drinking!
I bought these stairs at what I felt was a pretty hefty price only to find it either used or a demonstrator model with scratches and dings directly from the sealed box from the manufacturer. Furthermore the manufacturing process has poor quality control with the aluminum struts having been cut with a water-jet and never being eased or smoothed out in any way. Next, the holes in the bracket are 3/8" in diameter but the supplied lag bolts which some of us must use due to the design of our campers are tiny #14 x 1 1/2! Right in the literature it says if you use the supplied lag bolts your warranty is void. Yes, you read that right. Oh, someone needs a swift kick! A trip to town and I bought bigger, longer stainless steel lags and bushings to make it work right but obviously these should have been included. HOWEVER - etrailer was excellent to work with and had superior communication at every step. They were also very gracious in addressing my concerns.
Always fast on delivery ,except for something happened and my order ended up in Hawaii a few years ago. Ive never been jealous of a package ,but I really wanted to go pick it up myself. But you guys even hotrodded that back to my door in record time. So you guys always do good. The steps work great ,heavy duty and sturdy. They have glow in the dark large steps that work well after dark. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF US CUSTOMERS!!!
I love the stairs! I have had a knee replacement, and using a ladder is out of the question (although I have done it!) My husband has a very nice Bigfoot camper on top of a semi, and getting it to it was impossible for me! Now he is building a deck to go onto the camper and getting into the camper is going to be a breeze with the beautiful stairs and the handrail!
These scissor stairs beat the rickety set that came with my 97 Bigfoot camper hands down. The 6 step Tork Lifts work perfectly for my tall basement model camper and each step is level with the stairs extended to the ground. These stairs are heavy which adds to their stability. I plan on leaving them attached to the mounting bracket most of the time. Suggest using marine grade silicon caulk for any penetrations needed for installing mounting the bracket.
Love love these stairs. Our old ones were too short and narrow. These were just right and wider. The reflective tape is an added bonus. Great people to deal with as far as shipping I liked how you kept me informed as to the whereabouts of my order.
It took a 6 step to reach the height of our truck camper but these steps fit perfectly. Best made we've seen. Strong, wide, deep ------ now we just want to go camping! Etrailer rocks!! Great customer service, fast delivery and great prices. This is our second purchase from you but won't be our last.

One year later and even more happy now that weve used them for season. Steps you can put your whole foot on. We didnt want to spend th money, but no question wed buy them again if needed.
I just finished building a new house. I wanted access to the attic but did not want one of those narrow ceiling hatches with pull-down steps. I had a wide door installed 52 inches above the floor (had no choice here as the framing required this) in my game room for access to my entire attic. These steps worked perfectly. I did have to loosen the joint bolts (as described in the directions) to allow for easier pull down and storage. These steps are quite sturdy and well built. They easily support this 220 lbs. guy carrying attic storage items.

Its been one year and I absolutely love these steps. I purchased the two-step version to step down into my crawlspace. Awesomeness! I would definitely purchase these steps again.
We are so glad we invested in these. I have bad knees and use a cane, so having these wide and sturdy steps makes it easy for me to enter and exit using my cane! Our setup is a little unusual, a built up canopy on a dually flatbed. The steps are so quick and easy to put up and down. We bought the six step model but found we only needed five. With some online instructions wow were able to tackle that too. We also bought the small keyed lock that is available.
