Great Jack. Works flawlessly. They shipped my order very rapidly the Jack was spot on in the decryption.

by:

I modified spare tire location (needed more tongue weight), so replaced top mount crank jack with side wind version. Shipping speed was upgraded sans asking and received item just before my next trip. Installed in 5 minutes and jack is much more ergonomic than original. Whenever I need anything trailer or pick up truck related, I don't even bother shopping around, for etrailer pretty much has everything! Customer service is outstanding even with returns or replacements. Completely satisfied with product and service.
Thanks for everything Etrailer

Still working fine. Smooth and easy operation. I seriously doubt that I’ll have any issues with the side wind trailer jack.

by:

Simple, strong, and reliable

by:

Work perfectly for the application we intended, as risers for a 30’ belt!

by:

Existing job site trailer jack broke Thursday. Menards, Home Depot, Northern tool, Mill didn't have the needed style in stock. Ordered it up and got here on Saturday. Perfect fit and higher weight rating than previous jack. Cranks smooth.

by:

This is a sturdy and easy to use manual jack. It is replacing a failed electric jack, and I am glad to have a manual jack of this high quality. It is the perfect size for my 3500 lb Rockwood Travel Trailer.

by:

Jack was good product

by:

Installed easy and has been working flawlessly. Had next day delivery.

by:

I've had this installed on my utility trailer for about a year now. It works great. I've had some pretty big loads in it and have had no issues raising and lowering it with this jack.

by:

The TJA-5000S-B jack I ordered was exactly what I needed. It was easy to install. The photos show the old jack and the new jack that I needed so that I could mount 2 bikes on front of my Forrest River A-frame camping trailer.

by:

The replacement tongue jack fit perfectly (hole alignment) and the movement is back to the way the original jack worked when brand new. Haven't used it in its full range yet, but so far looks promising. Just a little concerned about the top cover of the jack which appears that it would let rain water into the gear box. I applied a quart size zip lock bag which should keep the rain out.

A long search for an American made jack led me to etrailer.com. Turns out the jack was made in China. Disappointed!!

We love to offer parts that are made in the USA. We do not offer a similar jack that is USA made however on any part that is, it will be listed on the product page as Made in USA.

by:

Works as advertised. Definitely a great price on this jack.. I use it daily on a 20ft trailer.. lets see how long it last me..

by:

Package came very quick. Went right on to my trailer. The foot that "matched" the jack I bought did not work. Had to run to a local store and get one that would.

by:

Great product

by:

Product came on time, as advertised. Had a hard time believing the low price!! My old jack was so damaged I had to persuade it off with hammer and chisel, but then this jack went on in minutes. Functions smoothly. Couldn't be happier. etrailer has all my future trailer business. Five Stars.

by:

Works as intended. I have it on a small 20ft camper that weighs about 4k Lbs. I recommend adding grease and an adjustable bottom with a quick release pin.

1 year later still working. No problems.

by:

Jack works fine, but arrived with several dings and chips in paint. I realize it will probably get that way eventually anyway, but would expect it to arrive looking new.

These jacks arrive to us in large pallets which unfortunately does mean they are not in the best shape. I am happy to have Customer Service contact you.

Excellent service nothing but good thin gs

by:

Worked perfectly. Easy to weld up and strong as ever!

by:

Easy installation! Just three bolts and back in action...

by:

VERY PROMPT SERVICE

by:

I bought this for a basketball goal replacement and it worked out GREAT!! It raises the backboard with ease, and my 8 year old daughter loves it. It shipped out faster than I was expecting, and it arrived in just a few days. Awesome job towards Etrailer!!!!!!
I will definitely recommend Etrailer to anyone !!

by:

It's decent jack for the money and it gets the job done. Fit and Finish is okay. What I don't like - the crank should be reversible. Sometimes the crank to the rear is much better. When you stand on the drivers side (which you almost always do) it's awkward. The crank is vulnerable to damage from the vehicle backing up and tailgate up/down motion. I tried to reverse but the design is asymmetric - so No Go. Dummies.., it would be so simple at no additional cost. Does Any Manufacturer Actually Use What They Make???

This jack has the standard mounting plate with 3 bolt holes that are evenly spaced apart. Therefore you can turn it around to face the sides but unfortunately the design does not allow the jack to face rearwards.

by:

I love it. The side turn handle is great. I put the flip footer on it and it works great.

  • What Size Bolts Are Needed To Secure the etrailer Round, A-Frame Jack TJA-5000S-B
The etrailer Round, A-Frame Jack part # TJA-5000S-B does not come with hardware so you will need to supply your own. The bolts should be 3/8"-16 grade 5 but the length would vary depending on the specific trailer. That said, I would think 2-1/2" should be plenty.

  • Recommended Trailer Jack Options For 1993 Jayco Eagle Camper
For your 1993 Jayco Eagle camper weighing 6800 lbs, I am not sure if you need an A-frame tongue jack for a travel trailer, replacement landing gear for a 5th wheel, or stabilizer jacks. The side jack makes me think 5th wheel or stabilizer jack but I will give all recommendations. If your 1993 Jayco Eagle is a 5th wheel trailer, I recommend the Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set - Weld On - 34-7/8" Lift - 5,500 lbs # LG-1. This landing gear has a leg length of 29-1/2 inches with...

  • Will a 5,000 lb Trailer Jack be Easier to Crank than a 2,000 lb Jack
A higher capacity a-frame jack is going to be easier to crank than a lower capacity jack at the same weight. So, what that means is that the etrailer jack part # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced is going to be an easier to crank jack than what you currently have. I attached a review video for this jack for you to check out as well.

  • How Long is the Handle on the 5k Pro Series Round, A-Frame Trailer Jack
What I suggest is a sidewinding handle pointed away from the obstruction like # TJA-5000S-B. But to answer your question the handle measures 6-1/2 inches from the center of the jack to the end of the handle. It is just 1 inch too long so I would go with a sidewind jack. I have also linked powered A-frame jacks for you as another option.

  • Will the etrailer Round A-Frame Trailer Jack Fit a 2013 Aliner Expedition?
Since the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel # TJA-5000S-B is a universal fitting product, as long as the trailer in question has an A-frame, this will fit. I did go ahead and check that your 2013 Aliner Expedition has an A-frame and it does, so this will work just fine. This jack has a maximum weight capacity of 5,000-lbs, a lift capacity of 3,000-lbs, and has 15-5/8" of travel.

  • Trailer Jack Recommendation for 19 Foot Springdale Camper
I looked up your trailer and it has an A-frame style jack on it so for a replacement the Bulldog jack part # TJA-5000S-B would fit and work well. Unless you wanted to go with an electric jack to make raising and lower the jack easier. I think the best value for an A-frame tongue jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which is rated for 4500 pounds of tongue weight. This is 1000 pounds more than other models, and even though you may not need this much capacity, you will find that the jack...

The etrailer.com Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced does not include a footplate. This is actually not all that uncommon, as it simply allows you to choose the type of base you want (footplate or caster wheel) or use a base that you might already have. For a footplate that will work perfectly with this jack, I recommend the etrailer.com Footplate # JF-99. It will attach right to the 2 inch inner tube on this jack and it features a clear zinc finish to provide...

  • Availability of Square Tube Bulldog A-Frame Jack
We do carry square tube Bulldog A-frame jacks. You would want the Bulldog Square, A-Frame Jack # BD195321 if you can use a top wind jack, currently there are no sidewind square Bulldog jacks. • How Much Grease Should be Used and How Often to Grease Round A-Frame Trailer Jack TJA-5000S-B
On the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel - 5,000 lbs Item # TJA-5000S-B you will be good with about 3 or 4 pumps of grease from a grease gun. You will know it is too much if it starts oozing out somewhere! It would be a good idea to add grease 3 or 4 times a year but really it depends on several factors like how often the jack is used, how long it sits, the climate, and so on.

  • Possible Solution for Bent A-Frame Trailer Due to Swivel Jack
The frame members of a trailer really aren't replaceable. Your best option will be to take the trailer (carefully) to a fabricator to see if they weld in a new section of frame there. You should also have them go over the trailer to make sure there aren't any other structural issues that need addressing as well. Also be sure not to overload the trailer. It looks like it bent where the swivel jack was initially installed. You might have that front section of the trailer reinforced with another...

  • Which Is Easier to Crank, a Side Wind Jack or a Top Wind Jack
All A-Frame mounted jacks like the Pro Series Jack part # PS1400600303 use the same 3-inch mounting hole bolt pattern. In other words, the mounting holes are a universal size and pattern so that any A-Frame jack will fit into any A-Frame jack mount. As long as your trailer has an A-Frame jack mount, this jack will fit. Topwind jacks and sidewind jacks will both require the same amount of force to operate.
