Video Transcript for Pro Series Round Sidewind A-Frame Jack Review

Today we're going to be reviewing and installing the Pro Series Round A Frame Jack with the external gear box. It's going to have a 2,000 pound capacity. Part number PSRV20000103. We're also going to be using the Pro Series Detachable Foot Plate. This is going to be sold separately with part number PS1400700340. We went ahead and removed the previously installed jack. As you can see it's going to expose the new area where the new jack is going to fit.

Basically we're going to slide this down into position. You can see here that we're going to line up our holes with the thread holes in the A frame coupler. This is going to fit your standard A frame coupler. The distance that we have center on center between the mount holes is going to be right on 3". We're also going to use the previously installed hardware to install our new jack. It's going to have a star shaped washer, a lock washer and then the bolt itself.

We're going to get these started by hand. Then we can tighten them the rest of the way down using our socket wrench. The next step would be to go ahead and torque these down to the specifications in the manufacturer's instructions. For our demonstration today we're just going to go ahead and loosely install it, that way we can go over the rest of the features. Now we can take our foot plate, again this is sold separately. We're going to place it onto the bottom of the jack, line up the holes, and then insert the pin and secure it with that safety clip on the other side. We're going to go ahead and lower our jack all the way down so the foot plate is resting on the floor.

It's got a really nice, easy-to-use handle, it allows you to get a nice, secure grip on it. With the jack supporting the weight of our trailer we can remove the jack stands, we can get those out of the way. Now our jack is in it's fully extended position which is going to be 23". Fully retracted it's going to be a 9" extension, which is going to give us a lift of 14". The Pro Series jack is going to feature the external gear box mounted right here on top of the jack. The inner tube is going to give us a diameter of right at 2".

The outer tube is going to give us a diameter of 2-1/4". This jack is made from a steel construction. The outer and inner tubes have a black paint finish. This utility jack is going to be perfect for agricultural and commercial applications. It's going to feature precision-fit parts that are going to provide exceptional stability and reliability. We bolted this onto our trailer today but you can definitely weld this on as well. Again it's going to fit any standard A frame coupler. The side wind handle is front facing and it's going to feature a smooth ergonomic design for easy cranking. The winding box here at the top of the jack is going to measure 3" wide by 2-1/2" tall, by 2-1/2" deep. The clearance that we have from the mounting bracket to the top of the jack is going to measure 12". That's going to complete today's review and install of the Pro Series Round A Frame Jack with the External Gear Box, rated at 2,000 pounds. Part number PSRV20000103. .

Replaced a 1 1/2" 1000lb. Capacity top wind jack on a small Jayco pop up camper. Had to grind away a small portion on A frame opening to facilitate the larger Pro series jack. Holes for bolts had to be slightly enlarged to match existing threaded mounting holes. Then simply bolted on and attached the handle. The Pro series jack works so much better than the old top wind jack and requires less effort to use. Really pleased with this product and at a good price. Delivery is always fast ! 255932

Works just like the original (which got bent) on my RV, no issues a year later. Good product. 493620

I wrecked my A-frame jack on a horrendous dip in a highway. I naturally turned to my old stand-by and ordered a replacement for the factory jack. This one went right in, no problems. It took just a few minutes, but the real surprise was how well it worked. The old one was almost impossible for my wife to work, and this one can be operated with one finger. If I had known how much better this one would be, I would have replaced the factory jack years ago. 528115

I purchased this product as a replacement for my top wind A frame jack. It was a toss up between this model and the Bulldog unit that Etrailer sells. I decided to go with this one because of the price and as cheesy as it may sound my trailer is black and this jack is black so they work well together. All in all the install was very simple and I'm very impressed at how smooth and easy this jack is to operate. It's a huge improvement over the top wind jack that came with the trailer and I'm very satisfied with the purchase especially for the price point! I also purchased the 6" caster wheel to complete the package and I have to say it's perfect! my trailer rolls around when off the ball with ease making storage a breeze. Kudos to Etrailer.com as well for expediting my shipping after I placed the order. Great customer service, I'll purchase from Etrailer.com again in the future when it comes to my trailer's needs. 162461

This is 100x better than the jack I had on my horse trailer before. My wife can even crank it up now without and problems and I can do it with one hand vs the two and back strain I had with my old top crank. It's very smooth and there is very little motion in the trailer while raising and lowering. Bolted right on to my 94' Valley 2 horse without any problems. Added the foot plate and now I don't need to use a 4x6 to keep the trailer from sinking into the ground. Shipping was very quick (a lot faster than Amazon) and it was packed very well. Next month when it's time to do the brakes I'll be contacting these guys again! 44848

  • Selecting Replacement A-Frame Tongue Jack for 1984 Wilderness Trailer
Your photo shows that your A-frame tongue jack is a bolt-on side-wind type like # BD1700100317 and the others shown on the linked page. This example Bulldog jack has an inner tube with an inside diameter of 1-3/4-inches and an outside diameter of 2-inches which is very common. The etrailer jack # TJA-5000S-B and the Pro Series jack # PSRV20000103 that you referenced have the same size inner tubes. It is not really possible to tell the jack brand from the photo. It appears the jack may...

  • Recommended Replacement Jack & Wheel For 1962 Aristocrat Travel Trailer
For your replacement trailer jack, I recommend the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack w/ External Gearbox - Sidewind - 14" Lift - 2,000 lbs # PSRV20000103. I recommend using the Ram Removable, 6" Poly Caster Assembly for 2" Jack Tube # JC-101 with this to give you the wheel you are currently missing as well, but that won't give you much clearance for travel when it is installed, so I recommend removing it for towing. This is easy with the included pin and clip. Another option is to change...

I pulled a Pro-Series Jack part # PSRV20000103 that you referenced to show you what it would take to remove the handle. When the reviewer said that it was easy to remove the handle he was referring to just the plastic portion, which can be removed with a wrench and socket. I attached a video that shows how the plastic portion of the handle does get removed.

  • Replacement A-Frame Jack Recommendation for 2003 Jayco 27BH
I looked up your 2003 Jayco 27BH and it looks like it uses a sidewind A-frame trailer jack just like the Pro Series part # PSRV20000103 you referenced. This jack has a lifting capacity of 2,000 lbs which would be a great option for your trailer that will be really easy to crank. I attached a review video link for this jack for you to check out as well. For a standard foot plate you'd want the part # PS1400700340 or for a wheel caster # PS1400750340 and you'd be set.

  • Would 5k Bulldog Jack Be Easier to Crank than 2k Pro Series Jack
The higher the jack is rated the easier it will be to lift the front of a trailer generally speaking. So the Bulldog part # BD1700100317 is going to be easier to crank than the Pro Series part # PSRV20000103 because of that. That means more cranking per inch. In the review video I attached you can see our demo guy cranking on the jack to raise the trailer within the first few seconds. The outer tube diameter of this jack is 2-1/4 inch and is going to fit your trailer just fine. Nearly...

The Pro Series offers a 2K weight rating, 14-inches of lift and measures 13-inches from the mounting bracket to the top, excluding the handle. • A-Frame Jack Solution for Trailer with Small Diameter Lower Jack Hole
Your best option is going to be to take your trailer to a welder/fabricator and explain to them that you need to have either that lower plate removed or expanded so that you can fit a new trailer jack in it's place. The standard jack outer tube diameter is right at 2-1/4 inches. We don't carry a jack that would fit the lower hole of your trailer so modifying your trailer will be your only option. For a foot that will fit you can use # PS1400700340. Or for a wheel use # PS1400750340. The wheel is rated for 1,200 pounds so it would limit the jack to that same 1,200 pound capacity.
