The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

P2 rated.Before installing these marker lights on my boat trailer, I touched the power wire and ground wire to the terminals on my truck battery. This light is at least 2X brighter and more vivid than the older LED lights that I am replacing. The older lights had a very suspect push on connector that would rattle off from road vibration. These Optronics have a sealed, through the back, power and ground wire. Far better!
To bad they don’t come with a gasket to make them more waterproof and fit better on rough surfaces.
Service and communication were great and recommend Etrailer to anyone.
My Optronics Led side marker lights arrived today. I have not had the opportunity to install them but as I have used e-trailer products in the past, I am confident that they will not dissapoint.
Optronics LED clearance lights were exact replacement for my 2008 camper. Fast shipping as usual. Super bright lights replacing the 16 year old original equipment.
The light looks good on my trailer I built to pull behind my motorcycle. I have used all led lights on the trailer for less draw on the bike. They are nice and bright in the day and night.
I have worked with etrailer in the past & they are great in every respect!!!

The product works perfect, it couldnt be better.
I totally rely on etrailer - professional and helpful staff, excellent products, and fair prices.
These lights are exactly what I wanted to replace the existing marker lights on my boat trailer. I won't be able to mount them until the spring but I checked and they all work. I am happy to say they are much brighter than I expected and seem to be very well made. I would definitely order these again if needed.

Update-These lights have worked out great on my boat trailer for the past year. I have had no issues with water getting in the lens. They are bright and look great. Simple to install. I have used Optronics lights before and have never had an issue. I would not hesitate to buy again.
I would redesign it. Do away with the ground wire and ground by screw from the inside. Other than that they work as they should.
These lights fit well and were easy to install. I appreciate not paying for a lot of extra nuts and bolts that I didn't need. I did, however, cut the ground eyelet so as to feed the wire thru and existing hole instead of looping under the frame.

Seem rugged, have not installed so cannot comment on the amount of light.
We use these lights here at Treeline Helicopters as indicator lights on our aerial tree saws, they are exactly as pictured and great quality, we’ve also used several heavy trailer products from etrailer and are very happy with the fast shipping and customer service!
The wiring adapter connected properly to my truck's factory, wiring adapter for electric trailer brake controller. It also subsequently connected properly to the Tekonsha Brake EVN electric brake controller I also purchased from etrailer. Everything worked properly towing my trailer.
The light works great, and really makes my trailer more visible at night. Shipping was very fast and order was perfect.

Seems like some well-made and water sealed lights for my boat trailer. I will update if they don’t work! Arrived quickly right to my front door!

Bought these a few yrs ago for another trailer project. So I figured why not buy, them again for this project. Problem I had with last trailer is 1 wire corroded off recently. Big deal, I pit a new 1 on. Lets see how these do. I bought bezels for the heck of it.

After a year the lights are still working great. I have had a few people ask me where I got the lights and I let them know etrailer has them for a good price.
