Specs:
A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.
Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.
It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.
Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.

It weighs 850 with a 150ish lb tounge weight.
It's very smooth to operate & the drill feature is awesome ( & my #1 selling feature).
Way better than my hobo freight swing away I had on it.
Works perfectly. Easy install and raising and lowering with electric drill is a plus. Perfect for the utility trailer. It replaced the original one that had become a chore to raise and lower after 8 years.

Still working great. Nice to be able to use a battery powered impact driver to raise and lower the leg
It failed within a month of being installed. I did not return it because it was on a work trailer and could not afford the downtime waiting for a return. I don’t know if I got a defective one either way it did not hold up and ended up getting replaced. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchase.
I really like the idea of this product as I felt it would make it much quicker to hook up the weight distribution and also help set up at the campground. I installed the quick drop and have tested it a few times on my Clipper 17BH travel trailer. The 2,000 lb capacity seems more than adequate (only 400 approx tongue weight) and this jack will crank up the trailer just fine.... by using the hand lever on top. When I tried my 20v Porter Cable brushless drill in low gear it kept stalling out, I then tried my traditional 20v Dewalt in low gear and it took -everything- this drill had to raise the jack. It definitely works your wrist hard and the torque snap back from the drill was terrible. Also with this being a top wind jack, the handle hits my propane tank, although I can lift the handle slightly while cranking and do have enough clearance to use by hand if needed. The product is very well made and quality is excellent, but I don’t feel that this will work out well in my travel trailer application due to the stress that it will place on my tools and I would still have to crank it manually anyway when hooking up weight distribution (no way drill would lift any more!). I really don’t want to have to buy a $350 high power drill to use this, so I will throw this one on the shelf and put on a traditional electric jack. The quick drop would be an excellent product for a lighter utility type or small cargo trailer.
Easy three bolt install took less then 5 minutes. Works great!
Very substantial materials and excellent craftsmanship. Very clever design
Huge upgrade to the stock jack that came with my 2021 Aliner travel trailer. Smoother crank and much better quality. I have to say I only use the hand crank and not the option to use a cordless drill to raise and lower.
I’ve had it over a year now so I highly recommend it.
I damaged the tongue jack on my utility trailer when it caught on a tree root. This Lippert Jack was a perfect replacement. Installation screw holes were perfect and installation of the new jack was quick and easy. It was obvious that this jack was of high quality. If I need another jack in the future, I know where to get it. Thanks etrailer.
Awesome service!!! My business continues to order through etrailer because of the consistent customer service and communication during the shipping process!
Disappointed..... It arrived yesterday. Installed today. The old one came off easily,
the new one went on perfectly and looked good. The drill made the jack go up and down just fine, UNTIL a little weight was on it then the drill would not make the tongue go up. I have a new Milwaukee drill that works fine for the leveling jacks and
everything else but could not do the job. I have a 5000 lb toy hauler that is one of
the lightest on the market. Perhaps I need a heavy duty AC powered drill? This was
not advised when I ordered it. What would you suggest? Perhaps returning it and
ordering a battery powered jack that you sell. Please advise.... Kendall
Got this jack because the electric jack was too tall. The tailgate on our 2019 Ascent hit the old jack. The gate now clears. I use my drill after weight is off ball to raise and lower. As good as electric jack.
exact replacement it works great

after a year outside in the weather the jack is still working perfect
just opened package and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the "heft" of the jack. I ran the jack up and down with my cordless impact and my gosh it has plenty of power to spare. Should not be a problem on trailer Thanks again to Lippert products for a quality unit!!
I bought this as a replacement for the original trailer jack that quit working due to age and neglect. It was a direct bolt up/fit and works well.
Great product, faultless service
Was highly interested in this jack, previous power jack died suddenly. Installed in a matter of minutes and worked just as advertised. Though, the bolts to secure were not in box. Purchased through local hardware store.
Have studied my order and am confident it will work great as expected.ordered my Jack and given a shipping and reciveing date then received another email with update to get it sooner which was highly apprectied showed me i can do business here again with confidence
It was very easy to install, and much easier to work than the tongue jack that came with the trailer.
Works great, easy to use. Foot fell off one day driving down the interstate for whatever reason. Other than that, it works well every time.

Well, after a year Id say Id give it 3-4 stars. Its had problems with the nut on top failing although fixable. Problem was an e clip slipped out of its groove on the shaft causing the nut to become useless. I upgraded to a better e clip & safety wired it so it doesnt pop off. So far so good. Isnt it always a 2 cent item that falls ??
