Video Transcript for etrailer Trailer Jack JF-99 Review

Speaker 1: Today we gonna take a look at the foot plate for the 2,000 pound and 5,000 pound round Ram or E-trailer A frame jacks. This is a removable foot plate that'll fit the round A frame jacks with the capacity of 2,000 pounds or 5,000 pounds. Basically, this foot plate will bolt to the bottom of the two-inch inner tube of the jack with the included hardware, the bolt here and the lock nut. It has a nice durable corrosion-resistant zinc finish. A few dimensions on this foot plate, overall length and the end is right at four and a half inches. Total width, right at two and a quarter inches wide.

But basically all you would do is put this onto the bottom of the two-inch inner tube, line the holes up on the tube and the plate, run your bolt right through there, put your lock nut on the other side, and tighten it down into place. That should do it for the review on the foot plate for the 2,000 pound and 5,000 pound round Ram or E-trailer A frame jacks.

etrailer products are always top of the line…
the ‘FREE SHIPPING’ is the problem…
Slow Slow Slow

by:

The packaging needs to be updated. When we got our product, all the boxes were ripped and almost ever one didn't have the bolt.

by:

Great price and great product. Heavy gauge material and well packaged.

by:

It's just a foot but I wish it had 2X the "footprint".

by:

Got the right part in a a timely fashio n.

by:

As shown, worked nice.

by:

It perfectly OK. I ga b e a 4 because the clip to attach to the tongue wasn't with it as shown in the oicture.

by:

Michelle was every helpful. I explained my problem with my electric tongue jack and inquired if a manual would work with my travel trailer application. She explained how and where it would work better and even provide more lift than my current unit. She added that the item she was recommending was a best seller for the company.

About five days later, it arrived, I installed it in half and hour and it is everything she described. My issue, which overworked my electric, is I have to actually lift my truck when connected by the ball about five inches in order to get the correct tension on my equalizer bars, putting not only tongue weight but rear truck weight on the jack. Works as designed and Michelle described. Time will tell on longevity, but the unit is smooth and easily lifts to height, so it doesn't seem to be overworked. Price was very reasonable as well.

by:

Just as requested and stabilize trailer well.

by:

Fits correctly and was correctly described when shopping.

by:

These are easy to install and are very sturdy...would work for any atv/utv...customer service is great also...prompt responses...would use E trailer for all my trailer needs

by:

Inexpensive, but looks acceptable.

by:

Dealing with these guys was a dream. Part is perfect.

by:

by:

It's a jack foot. It fit and does its job.

by:

The product was great and worked perfectly. Our main compliment is what a great company you are to order from and work with. Your employees followed up and replied to all correspondence very quickly. They helped us fix a shipping problem (we had a post office box) and fixed it correctly the first time AND confirmed the correction! Thanks sooooo much for the personal service!

by:

Fits perfect heavy duty

by:

A bad. Trailer jack on no problems works very good good product thank you

by:

These guys are great. Good service, Knowledge, etc. Delivery is exceptional.
I will definitely use them again.

by:

Item fit perfectly on the jack.

by:

Fit Great. easy to install. Wish it was a little larger so as not to sink into soft ground so much.

by:

Bought a full spare this time. Long term repeat customer. The best in the business.

by:

Worked perfectly and reasonably priced.

It has a 7/16 inch center hole that is 1-3/16 inches off the ground on center where it attaches, and the base is 4-1/2 inches by 2-1/4 inches. • Will Jack Foot Pad #JF-99 work with a Square Tube Jack with 2" Inner Tube?
The replacement foot plate for 2000-lb and 5000-lb Jacks # JF-99 will work on a square tube jack with an inner tube size of 2" as long as your jack's bolt hole is 7/16" in diameter. If your jack has a different hole size let me know and I can recommend a different replacement foot plate.

  • Manual A-Frame Trailer Jack with Shortest Retracted Bracket Height
I looked through all of our available manual A-Frame trailer jacks and the option with the shortest retracted bracket height is the etrailer.com A-Frame # TJA-2001-B. The retracted bracket height is right at 5-1/8 inches from the ground and it has a weight capacity of 2,000 pounds. It doesn't come with a foot plate but it can be added with part # JF-99. I have attached a couple short video reviews that you can check out as well.

  • Recommendation for Economic A-Frame Trailer Jack with 3 Hole Mounting Plate
For your trailer, I recommend the etrailer.com Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000-B. This economically priced A-Frame jack features a lift capacity of 3,000 pounds and a static capacity of 5,000 pounds. You will just want to make sure this is sufficient for the tongue weight of your trailer. It will give you a total travel of 14-1/8 inches. It does have a 3 hole mounting bracket and an outer tube diameter of 2-1/4 inches. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product...

  • A-Frame Trailer Jack Recommendation for a 10,000 lb Trailer
A trailer that weighs 10,000 lbs would have a tongue weight of anywhere from 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. The Bulldog Jack part # BD155032 that you referenced has a 5k capacity and would be more than enough. For a footplate to go with this jack you would want part # JF-99 or # JF-101BK for a wheel caster part # BD500245.

  • Foot Plate for Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8
For the 5,000 pound trailer jack # TJA-5000S-B you can use foot plate # JF-99. It was designed for 2,000 and 5,000 pound round A-frame trailer jacks that have a 2 inch diameter inner leg.

The wheel that is designed to work with the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack # BD155032 that you referenced can be found on our site as part # BD500245. You will simply need to remove the pin, install the wheel, and then reinsert the pin to use the wheel. It does have a weight rating of 1,500 lbs so you will want to make sure that your Tongue Weight (TW) is compatible before using the wheel. • Footplate Needed for the Bulldog Drop Leg and Pull Pin Assembly # BD500377
The Drop Leg and Pull Pin Assembly # BD500377 that you referenced is actually the same drop leg as the part 500329 that you referenced. Instead of a drop leg you need to use part # JF-99 for a foot plate or part # JC-102 for a caster. I have confirmed all of this with my contact at Bulldog.

  • Recommended Footplate for Etrailer.com A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B
The etrailer.com Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced does not include a footplate. This is actually not all that uncommon, as it simply allows you to choose the type of base you want (footplate or caster wheel) or use a base that you might already have. For a footplate that will work perfectly with this jack, I recommend the etrailer.com Footplate # JF-99. It will attach right to the 2 inch inner tube on this jack and it features a clear zinc finish to provide...

Thank you for the photo of your travel trailer a-frame tongue area showing its standard tongue jack mount. You can view our range of top-wind a-frame jacks on the linked page. A great option is the Bulldog 5K-rated jack # BD155032 which provides 15-inches of lift and that allows you to choose you preferred caster wheel or foot assembly, such as # JC-102 or # JF-99.

Based on my research your 1969 Aristocrat Lo-Liner has standard a-frame construction so you can use one of the top wind jacks shown on the linked page. I suggest the Bulldog 2K-rated jack # BD155033 along with either the caster wheel # JC-102 or the footplate # JF-99.

  • Replacement A-Frame Jack for 6750 lb Travel Trailer
From your description, it sounds like you're needing an A-frame jack. Given the weights you've provided, your trailer likely has a maximum tongue weight of around 1000 lbs. I typically recommend folks go with the heaviest capacity jack they can, this makes for easy operation and long life for the trailer jack because it's only using a percentage of its capacity. The etrailer.com # TJA-5000S-B with its 5000 lb capacity would be a great choice. The bracket to the top of the jack is similar...

  • Jack Recommendation for Thuro-Bilt Horse Trailer
All A-frame mounted jacks like the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel - 5,000 lbs # TJA-5000S-B use the same 3-inch mounting hole bolt pattern. In other words, the mounting holes are a universal size and pattern so that any A-Frame jack will fit into any A-Frame jack mount. As long as your trailer has an A-Frame jack mount, this jack will fit. The # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced would have more than enough capacity and would work very well on your Thuro-Bilt 3 horse...

  • Can Caster Assembly of MaxxTow Swivel Trailer Jack Be Removed
I'm assuming that you're wondering if the entire caster assembly of the MaxxTow Swivel Jack MT70149 is removable. The caster assembly isn't removable (so you can install a footplate, for example.) I'd recommend going with the Bulldog # BD151443. The jack doesn't include a foot or caster, but you can add a foot with part # JF-99 or a caster with part # JC-102. The jack has a 2000 lb capacity, but keep in mind that adding the caster will limit the capacity to 1500 lbs.

For your trailer I recommend the etrailer Round, A-Frame Jack - Sidewind - 15" Lift - 5,000 lbs # TJA-5000S-B. This jack capacity is greater than you will need but will give you the strength and durability you were missing in your factory jack. Without knowing the actual brand of the jack or the capacity it would be very difficult to know what parts you would need to rebuild or if the parts are even available. This will be an easy replacement that will give you a standard tube diameter...

  • How Is Footplate For etrailer A-Frame Trailer Jack Removed
The etrailer A-Frame Jack, part # TJA-5000S-B has a mounting plate that can be welded or bolted to the trailer frame. If you are asking about the foot plate like part # JF-99, the foot plate is attached to the jack by slipping the footplate over the tube on the jack and inserting the included bolt on the footplate through the footplate frame and the holes in the leg of the jack. It is possible your jack may not be this model and has a footplate that cannot be removed.

This jack is a sidewind jack with I think are easier to crank than the topwind.
