The foot of the jack snugs up so it doesn’t get dinged yet the extended length allows me to take it off the hitch of my F350. 812231

The Bulldog jack was easy to install and works well. There is little of the jack exposed below the trailer tongue. My BigTex Utility trailer has the typical three threaded bolt holes for mounting except the back two closest to the trailer are separated 3.25 inches rather than the expected 3 inches. The Bull Dog slots adapted perfectly and the mount was easy. The turn resistance is light and the jack raises and lowers with ease. 799757

Works great except that the turning arm turns down by itself when traveling unless secured. I use a strong rubber band to hold it in place. 796628

I would have rated the whole assembly higher except for one problem. When driving the turn handle on the unit turns down by itself. I have lost one of the feet and bent the anchoring flange when it bottomed out. I now use a strong rubber band to keep the arm from turning. The foot itself is fine. It’s the turn down arm that’s the issue. 796627

- BD155033

I would rate it higher except for one negative. When traveling the turn handle will rotate and allow the internal center post to lower by itself. I have turned it up as high as it will go only to have it turn down to almost ground level while moving. I’ve already hit a slight bump and have had the foot torn off. 790678

The jack arrived on time and is installed and works very well. UPS had been very rough on the package but the jack was just fine. I bought it to improve the retracted ground clearance and it works exactly as I hoped. The service from etrailer and the sales person I talked to was terrific. 676822

Great! I really like the fact that it retracts flush with the trailer frame and is smooth and easy to use. The paint is fading a bit but that doesnt affect the great operation.

Great quality jack and provides for a variety of attachment options. I combined this with the e-trailer drop leg (13-1/4") to provide about 28" of lift. Oddly, the equal Bulldog drop leg did not slide in as smoothly as the e-trailer drop leg. 674348

Ask the Experts about this Bulldog Trailer Jack

  • Recommended A-Frame Jack with Most Ground Clearance
The distance from the bottom of the mounting flange to the bottom of the outer tube on the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack part # BD155033 is 3-1/2". The mounting flange is 3/16" thick. I have attached a photo of these measurements for you as well. If you need something with even more clearance then the only other option we have is the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K which measures 1-3/4" with the jack fully retracted and the collar at the lowest setting. I have attached a review...

  • A-Frame Trailer Jack with 15 inches of Lift and 5-1/8 inches of Retracted Clearance
The best option we have is the Bulldog a-frame jack part # BD155033 which has the correct amount of lift and retracted clearance. It only has a 2,000 lb lifting capacity as this is the highest capacity in the configuration you need. The good news is that 2,000 lbs of lifting capacity should be enough as this rating is based on the tongue weight of the trailer and not the total trailer weight.

  • Info Needed to Pick Out Replacement Caster Wheel for Trailer Jack
The swiveling caster wheels for jacks attach to the inner jack tube so you'd want to match that. More importantly you'll want to match the brand of the jack with the caster wheel as there aren't any universal fits. I attached a link to a page that has all of the replacement caster wheels we offer as well for you to check out but feel free to email me back with the jack you have and I can set you up with the correct replacement.

The best option we have is the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack part # BD155033. • How to Choose the Correct Replacement Trailer Jack With Enough Ground Clearance on Rough Terrain
When choosing a jack for your trailer you will want to remember that the jack is not going to be lifting the entire weight of the trailer. You should choose a jack that exceeds the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully loaded. The tongue weight of a trailer is typically calculated as 10 to 15 percent of the trailer weight. I would recommend finding the gross trailer weight rating (GTWR) which is the maximum weight that your trailer can support and choose a jack that is rated...

The 155 is a series of jacks and not just one jack. It sounds like you might have something more like # BD155022 which has more of the outer tube below the mounting flange. There is also a version with a zinc finish # BD155028.

  • Can't Lower Truck Tailgate Because it Hits the Trailer Jack
There is an easier solution that a different jack. You can use a longer ball mount so that the trailer, and the jack, will be further away allowing you to lower the tail gate without hitting the jack. Then you could use any jack you wanted. If that sounds like something you are interested in I would need to know the length of the ball mount you are using measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole and the amount of rise or drop needed to tow the trailer...

  • Is Drive Nut Replaceable on 2,000 lb A-Frame Trailer Tongue Jack
I did some digging but unfortunately it doesn't look like that nut is replaceable all on its own. I think that is typically changed out with the screw but even then I wasn't able to find anything for a 2K Fulton jack. When I reached out to my contact at Fulton he said that it's actually cheaper to replace the entire jack than it is to replace that screw nut anyways so he recommended just replacing it instead. • Is There A Standard Bolt Pattern for Mounting a Jack to a Trailer A-Frame
Most jack manufacturers including Fulton, Bulldog and Dutton Lainson use slotted holes in the jack mounting flange. Three inches apart center to center is considered industry standard. Since the holes are slotted, there will be a bit of wiggle room if the holes in your trailer A-frame aren't exactly 3 inches apart.

  • Replacement 2,000 Pound Bulldog A-Frame Trailer Jack
Bulldog jack # BD155033 would be a comparable replacement for the jack you have on your trailer. I believe the jack you have is one that they only sold to trailer manufacturers. The outer diameter of jack # BD155028 is 2-1/4 inches. Measure the outer diameter of the outer tube of your jack to confirm it is also 2-1/4 inches. If you need to add a when you can use # BDCP555. But the wheel is only rated up to 1,500 pounds so you would have to stay under that 1,500 pounds.

All A-Frame mounted jacks we offer like the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack, part # BD155033, use the same 3-inch mounting hole bolt pattern. Are the mounting holes on your trailer slotted at all? If so, a standard 3 inch pattern may still work if you measure first to be sure.

  • Will the Bulldog Top Wind Trailer Tongue Jack Work on a Carry-On Trailer
Yes the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack, # BD155033, will work well for your Carry-On model trailer. The jack has a 2000 lbs lift capacity and a total of 15 inches of lift. The mounting bracket on the jack is usually an universal fit. To make your that this jack will fit, measure your current jack to see if the outer tube diameter is at least 2-1/4 inches. If your jack is not bigger than this measurement then the Bulldog jack will fit.

  • What is Meant by 15-Inches of Travel for Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack BD155033
Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack # BD155033 does offer 15-inches of travel (or lift) and this is simply the difference between the fully retracted and fully extended lengths. This jack can lift up to 2000-lbs and if you like you can add a caster wheel like # BD500245 which drops the jack rating to 1200-lbs or a standard foot plate # BD018564 which lets you keep the full 2K capacity. • Correct Trailer Tongue Jack Capacity for a Trailer with GVWR of 2980-lbs
When it comes to either trailer tires, hitches, winches or jacks, having extra capacity is a good idea. That tends to mean reduced wear and tear and can lead to a longer working lifespan for the jack. Since the cost difference between 1000-lb and 2000-lb jack is often quite small, it just makes sense to add safety margin whenever possible. For...
