Will a 5,000 lb Trailer Jack be Easier to Crank than a 2,000 lb Jack
Updated 07/16/2019 | Published 07/14/2019 >
Question:
Im looking to replace the A Frame jack on my travel trailer the tongue weight is under 2k lbs. Can I expect the gearing on this Bulldog 5,000 lb A Frame jack to make it easier to crank the tongue up and down than the current 2,000 pound jack currently mounted on it or does it just hold more weight before failure?

Expert Reply:
A higher capacity a-frame jack is going to be easier to crank than a lower capacity jack at the same weight. So, what that means is that the etrailer jack part # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced is going to be an easier to crank jack than what you currently have.
I attached a review video for this jack for you to check out as well.
