I’am really happy with the super high quality and convenience of the Trailer Valet. It took me about 10mins to install and I love how I can use my 18 drill to quickly lift and raise my trailer especially since I have a WD and Anita sway hitch that requires me to lift and lower several times!! I wish I would of purchased sooner!!

Trailer jack had a bonus not seen in photo, may have been in description but did not notice and that was a circular mounting plate to position the jack handle 4 ways 360 degree. Socket for the cordless drill is nice and works well. Fast shipping as always from etrailer! A good value overall.

I bought this jack because I'm now 73 tears old and prefer to have motors do my cranking. Very easy to install. I use a drill to place my stabilizers and I want to use this to level the trailer fore and aft. I like the product but the gearing is a little tall for a hand held drill. The tongue weight for my popup isn't much but this gearing works pretty hard to lift the trailer (tongue weight only 100 lbs,). Good idea but get the best lifting capacity you need.

Installed easily and seems much sturdier than the (damaged)OEM product it replaced.I have not "field tested" it yet, but expecting it to be a good choice, and glad I didn't have to worry about wiring an electric jack.

Fits my restored 1978 Nomad camper perfectly. The jack is made well and the black wrinkle finish looks great. A quality product.

Install was quick and easy, jack works fine, but first sign of moisture, and there is already rust . . . whole reason for purchase was to replace old rusty jack. Plus, a few dings in shipping along the way.

Comments
Hi Duncan, Thank you for your feedback. For a trailer jack with better rust prevention, I recommend the Bulldog A-Frame Round Jack, part BD1700100301. This jack comes with a zinc coating which gives a lot better rust prevention. It does not come with a foot, however I do recommend the Pro Series Detachable Footplate w Pin for 2 Diameter Jacks, part PS1400700340.

I wanted a electric hitch jack that allows me to open the rear hatch of my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. This jack is perfect for that task. It works great and met all of my expectations.

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

First off I have to give props to etrailer. They have never let me down and they are my go to. Have ordered many things and not one mess up and the trailer jack is great to. On my set up it took my 16 yr old about 10 minutes to switch out. Brand new trailer so we were working with rusty bolts. I have been using my cordless drill to lift and lower my trailers for years. I normally would just modify the existing jack to work with drill but for the price what the heck. Nice looking has nice size foot. Like the chuck and handle. The only thing that I would change and this has nothing to do with etrailer but the jack itself. I would make where the handle/chuck attaches (nipple) be recessed into the top portion of the unit. This would add a little bit of security (along with coupler lock) to the jack so if the handle is not attached it would not be as easy to put a pipe wrench or jam a socket onto the nipple and lower the tongue on to a receiver. That's just a mod I would make to the jack if I was the manufacturer. Great jack though.

Comments
Jack is working working great as it did from day 1. 6 months out of the year that jack is raised and lowered 6 days a week. No complaints yet and dont foresee any either. To follow up on my previous review I havent figured out a way to secure the jack nipple but I have increased the security of the trailer by putting the jack in its lowest position once the coupler lock is installed. Too heavy to pick tongue up by hand and would be cumbersome at best to raise jack leg with a hand tool of some sort and then have to get coupler lock off. Im pretty sure they would move on to and easier target...

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

Funny thing is I fixed the old one just before this one came in but decided to install it anyways. I am really glad I did....the drill option is totally awesome! The finish on this gives it such a quality feel and look...even the footplate is thicker and has a larger pin that my other one. I really considered electric but since I use a drill for my levelers, this just makes it cool and my drill makes fast work or lowering and raising. While it would be nice if the crank had a 3/4 drive on it, I think it would be difficult to lose the proprietary one that came with it. I put a few rounds of red electrical tape around it to make it easier to see if I drop it in the grass. I like how the crank itself removes so easily too. Really glad I chose this.

Comments
Over the past year, we have used the camper well over a dozen times and I have yet to use the crank. My 12 cordless dewalt 18V makes quicks work of lowering and raising. I like that with those off, you get some added security to go along with my ball lock. Would certainly buy this in the future should the need arise.

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

So far so good. DH installed without trouble. We store the trailer on a sloped driveway so the hitch jack is very important. The drill worked for most of the lift, the last 2 inches or so were easy with the hand crank. We've had two electric jacks and both quit at less-than-convenient times. Looking forward to relying on this jack no matter what the circumstances. Thank you!

Comments
Exactly what we needed - dependable. Replaced the drill with a more powerful one and we roll! Last weekend I bottomed something on a rough road, and I was afraid Id bent the jack. It came through perfectly, just a little scoop of gravel on the foot. So glad we made this purchase!!

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

Works like a charm for me! I use my cordless drill for the trailer stabilizers anyway, so the driver is always at hand. Trailer battery power is never an issue, too. Also, It seems to work twice as fast as the standard electric jacks out there. A word of caution, though: always use two hands on the drill motor, and pay attention to when you're getting to the jack limits. When you bottom out either retracting or extending the leg, your drill will instantly twist. If you're going full speed with it, kiss your wrist goodbye.

I had it on my RV for a while and then took it off to use on a smaller cargo trailer (can't beat electric jacks on bigger RVs). It works well on the 7x12 cargo trailer though. In fact, I love it. It's fast and strong. I won't ever go back to the stock jack.

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

I am overall pleased with the Trailer Jack. Mounting was very easy. I like the shoe on this jack, since the shoe on the old jack was rusted on, and took quite a beating to remove it. This design looks much better. I like the grease fitting too. I like the concept. I have the 5K that actually lifts 3K. Even that seems overstated as the jack struggles to lift the tongue of my dual axle 7500 GW Trailer, with a tongue weight of 500 lbs with a 1/2" DeWalt 20V drill in low range. Also the Drill torque will surprise you. I wonder if the gears will handle a 1/4" Dewalt Impact tool since there is no torque with an Impact tool, that would be a better source of lifting if the gears are strong enough. It would be better with a larger gear ratio since I wouldn't mind waiting a few more seconds for the lift and not have the drill struggle so much.

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

This jack appears to be a perfect replacement for the one that failed. The mounting plate has holes that allow for multiple mounting hole patterns and the drill attachment works flawlessly! So far I’m very pleased with it! I’m using it on my 20’ car hauler trailer and it only took about 15 minutes to change it out!

Review from a similar JXC in Trailer Jack

The jack itself is worth the cost. High quality construction and very well made. I would recommend it as a replacement for the factory jack. The only reason I have it 4/5 stars is because the base mine came with was round instead of triangular even though the picture was triangular. I had to make some modifications to my trailer for it to fit, but it worked out and works great.

Customer service is second to none, product is excellent, so much easier to use than the top wind (for me) liked it so much, I order another one for my other trailer. any one that has a trailer, looking to Trailer Valet products is a must in my book. The drill accessory for this system is one of the best things to date for people that own large or heavy toung weight trailers.

We use a 1/2 drill to raise & lower the tongue on a 10K landscape trailer fully loaded. Works like a champ. Keep the jack greased & you'll never have any problems.

  • Recommended Sidewind A-frame Jack for Small Karavan Utility Trailer
I looked up your Karavan trailer online, and found it has a GVWR just shy of 3000 lbs. I'd recommend the Pro Series Sidewind A-frame jack, part # PSRV20000103. The jack has a 2000 lb capacity, which is plenty for your small trailer, as the jack won't need to pick up the entire weight of the trailer, just it's tongue weight. The additional capacity means that jack won't need to work very hard and should therefore last you a very long time. The jack doesn't include a foot plate, which...
