Video Transcript for Bulldog Round Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack Review

Let's take a look at the bulldog pipe mounted swivel trailer jack. This one's gonna have a lift capacity of 7,000 pounds. So anything over that, we're not gonna want to overload it but we are gonna be able to lift meaning take this thing off the ball on our tow vehicle when we have up to 7,000 pounds up on a trailer. Notice we have a pretty big foot plate down at the bottom and it is welded around the seam. So this is not gonna be one that we can put another foot plate on or even a wheel but we do have those on our website, but look how big it is. So if we are on a construction site or something it shouldn't sink down under the ground.

Eight inches long by six inches wide. And then the diameter of the tube on the bottom is going to be about two inches and both the foot plate and the inner tube is gonna be zinc coated so it's not gonna rust away. Moving on up our diameter of this tube is gonna be two and a quarter and it has a nice grey powder coated finish. This is a side wind jack so the handle is gonna come up on the side. This is gonna be a little bit better if you have a lot of stuff going on on the front of your trailer.

Meaning if you have a big old toolbox or maybe a bike rack or something like that it is gonna have a radius of eight and a half inches. So a lot of you are wondering which one's gonna be faster. The longer arm is the more rotations the inner gears are gonna get for one full rotation of the arm. So that's something to think about but all the gear ratios are basically the same. We have a little plastic piece right here so it's gonna rotate with you as you start to crank.

So it's gonna make it really easy on your hands. We are gonna have a little pull handle. So whenever you are planning on taking your trailer down the road, we wanna put it in the drive mode. And by doing that, all you have to do is just grab this little piece right here. And I do appreciate how it's not just a circle so I can get two or even three fingers in there.

But if you have gloves on if you're hauling in the winter, it's gonna be easy to pull. And one thing that I appreciate it's connected I lose everything. So I'm just glad that they put a little chain there. If it does run off, you can get a replacement. It's just a five ace inch diameter pin. So now we can rotate it up like this and put it in our drive mode. So an overall length, this is gonna be useful if you have maybe a breakaway switch or a junction box on the outside of your trailer. So from the bottom of the plate to the very end, it's about 22 and a half inches. So this is gonna come with a pipe right here. This one's bigger, but if you notice the one that we're using it with is actually the smaller size. So it's gonna work with both, but it comes with the bigger one. The bigger one will go on the outside and then the smaller one will go on the inside. But whenever you're putting this on one, find the best place for it because we would don't want it to get too close to the coupler or whatever else we got going on on our trailer. And also notice how there's a bigger gap right here compared to the other side. We want the bigger gap to go towards the trailer. And we have noticed too if you really put some massive globs on there you are gonna run into the issue of these holes not lining up. We also want the hole to be directly up and down. So when we put it into the drive mode it's gonna be straight parallel. And then when we have it jacking up we're not gonna have a crooked jack. There's a lot of jacks on our website. So the first thing you wanna look at is capacity. Make sure you're not gonna get a jack that has a too little capacity compared to what you're putting on the trailer. And then the second thing is gonna kind of come down to how quickly you can use the jack meaning, what you wanna do is hook your trailer up to your vehicle measure from the center of the trailer, down to the floor and then that's gonna get you the size that you want. And what that's gonna do is whenever I take this and rotate it around, right now, we only have a couple inches from the bottom of the foot to the ground. So we're not gonna have to of crank this thing a whole lot of times, but if you get a smaller jack it's just gonna make you do a lot more work. So those are two little things to kind of think about whenever you're choosing your perfect jack for your trailer. And that's pretty much it for a look at the bulldog pipe mounted swivel jack, and I'm Adam with etrailer..

Jack looks to be built good and it also has a gear reduction. I did not like that there are no grease fittings and I also took it apart and found the jack screw has no grease on it at all which is what caused my previous jack to fail. I greased it up and added my own grease fittings so now it will last way longer.

Good deal

Busted clean off where the main lift cylinder is welded to the bracket. The weld did not penetrate the lift cylinder at all, on either side. The whole weldment remained attached to the bracket. The cylinder didn't receive enough heat to melt during the weld. Instead, the weld puddle just lay across the cylinder.

Very smooth action. Works as expected. 7k way too much for my 700 tongue weight but I needed the size. Very nice replacement

by:

We put this on a heavy-duty flatbed dump-trailer that hauls 4-ton+ payloads. We needed the fold-away feature to accommodate loading long items that extend past the front of the bed. It has performed great - easy to crank, easy to fold away. We love it and I highly recommend it.

by:

Great product and the sidewind was a nice upgrade to what I currently have!

by:

Welded them to trailer for stability during rear loading, also good for changing out wheels

Product was as described and received in a timely manner.

by:

Received product in 2 days, excellent communication on order status and follow up once order was received. Installed these on a 20’ utility trailer to stabilize the rear when I load my skid steer. Thank you.

by:

Fair price Quick shipment AAA +++

by:

this particular jack is easier to use that the top winding handle and has lasted much better than top winders

by:

Ordered the Bulldog jack , service was fast and accurate. Gave the product to a friend to replace the Bulldog jack on his trailer since I had broken the jack on his trailer when I borrowed it.

by:

The product is excellent, exactly as described and it arrived on time and in prefect condition.
Etrailer's customer service was outstanding! Judy went above and beyond to make sure my jacks shipped the same day and arrived in time to meet my deadline. It was a pleasure doing business with etrailer.com and I look forward to working with them in the future.

by:

I had this side handle trailer jack installed by a welder on my light weight utility trailer. It is easy to crank up or down and very sturdy. I replaced an old wheeled jack with the pull and spin option for moving the jack out of the way. This one is much easier and faster to use. I would highly recommend this.

by:

Just the side wind jack I was looking for. Etrailer had a great price, too

by:

Very smooth when lifting the trailer. Would recommend to a friend.

by:

I recently purchased a hitch set up for my Toyota Tundra. I installed the towing kit without having to drill any holes. It arrived in a timely manner and I am very pleased with cost and the product!
I plan to pull a trailer withe towing package. I also purchased a bulldog lift for a work related piece of equipment that also worked very well.

by:

Great to do business with etrailer very satisfied with product fast delivery

by:

Major upgrade from the 'fixed' one welded to my trailer. The flip up means less cranking to get it out of the way and to put it down.

by:

The Bulldog trailer jack is a high-quality product--well constructed, very heavy-duty, very durable. I've run these jacks for years with a high level of satisfaction. Highly recommended.
Also highly recommended is my favorite business: e-trailer. These people have never failed to provide superior service, good prices, fast shipping, and a high degree of communication with the customer. I could only wish that all businesses that I work with were as good as this one. Thanks, e-trailer.

by:

great product and etrailer went above and beyond to help me get my jacks. they were sent and for some reason i didn't get them, called etrailer they got them right back out and i have them Thanks!

by:

Good quality product and good service from etrailer. I replaced a 2K jack with a 5K of the same make. It’s mounted on a 1815 bushhog and the 2K jack was just not enough jack to lift it.
