Question:
I have a 2019 Jayco SLX 212QB 21foot. I used to see an electric tongue jack that was direct wired but had a 7 way cable as backup. Do you still have one like that? If not, would relying on the truck battery be best? Thoughts? What is the best option? I’d like to stay in the $250.00 range.

Hi Mark; the only jack like that is the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack # LC89VR but it exceeds the amount you're looking to spend. If you're fine with one that only runs off of the 7-way then I recommend the etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ 7-Way # e74GV. Most of the time people get a jack that wires directly to the trailer batteries like # e55ZV but you can really do whatever works best for you.
If you're connected to the batteries you don't have to position your truck to run the jack but at the same time, if your batteries tend to run down you won't be able to run the jack without hooking up to your truck to get some power from the 7-way. Personally, I would get the # e55ZV to save a little money over the one with the 7-way.

I use those chains and poles to keep the truck level so I have to raise the back of the truck with the jack. Is 3500 enough? If I use direct wired, my concern is I never use battery power I use camp site ac power. Is my battery going to provide enough power?
