Easy crank, and easy install. Jack up trailer. Replaced broker jack. 720181

Great product, all good, no troubles with the trailer jack. I have a Toyota Tundra crewmax and the way our horse trailer is set up it can only be put in one way, my tail gate comes down and the crank touches the tail gate, I opened up the crank to see if I could reverse the sides but you cant cause everything is to the one side, it should be reversible or made shorter. I also wish I would have spent the extra money on an electric one cause it takes a lot of cranks to put up and down. But the product is good, you don’t know til you get it and see what work. Thanks for me to put my input in. 473359

Easy fix! Replaced a worn out electric jack so I could sell my trailer. The weight and the side handle were requirements for me. I needed the handle out of the way for my propane bottles. Perfect. Used the foot from my old jack and I'm ready to go! About a 15 minute fix. 431599

No complaints. Does the job with no prob. Nice long travel. I appreciate the grease zerk. I didn't order a foot plate as I already had one. Bad move! The tube only accepts it's companion foot assy. ( male/female design) Had to pay another shipping charge. 528662

Works well! Replaced a shot jack on my father in-laws 6x12’ utility trailer. This unit is much more heavy duty than the previous model and it is really geared down to help lift heavy loads. Just be aware of where the handle faces. It is a bit close to the vehicle but has never touched it or dented the car. 848196

Ask the Experts about this etrailer Trailer Jack

  • Trailer Jack that Doesnt Hang Down Very Far for a Big Tex Utility Trailer
Depending on the capacity you need I do have some A-Frame jack options you might like. Take a look at the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K. It is more adjustable than other jacks and measures just 1-3/4" from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the leg with the jack fully retracted and the collar at the lowest setting. This jack is rated for 2,000 pounds. A wheel or foot will add more to that 1-3/4 inches so keep that in mind. For a wheel you can use # JC-102. For a foot you can...

  • Mounting Hole Dimensions and Spacing on etrailer.com A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B
The Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B has mounting holes that are elongated. The actual holes are 3/4 inch long and 7/16 inch wide. That gives you a minimum of 2-1/2 inches or maximum of 3-3/4 inches to the nearest or farthest part for mounting. I've attached a photo to assist.

  • Highest Lift for A Frame Trailer Jack With 5,000 lb Weight Capacity
We have a jack that meets all of the requirements that you are asking about. The Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B has a lift, or travel, of 15-5/8 inches. When this jack is fully extended, the bracket height it 24 inches. This jack also features an easily accessible grease zerk for maintenance and has a support capacity of 5,000 lbs. Since this jack doesn't come with a foot, I recommend using part # JF-1005H-Z to help stabilize your trailer. If you would like a bottom support...

  • Recommended Footplate for Etrailer.com A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B
The etrailer.com Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B that you referenced does not include a footplate. This is actually not all that uncommon, as it simply allows you to choose the type of base you want (footplate or caster wheel) or use a base that you might already have. For a footplate that will work perfectly with this jack, I recommend the etrailer.com Footplate # JF-99. It will attach right to the 2 inch inner tube on this jack and it features a clear zinc finish to provide...

  • How to Gain Clearance Between Tailgate and A-Frame Sidewind Trailer Jack
An A-frame trailer jack like # TJA-5000S-B can be position in any orientation. So the handle can be installed facing the rear if you'd like. Another solution that may work for you is a longer ball mount. We have the Hidden Hitch # 80232 which is 15-3/4 inches from the hitch pin hole to the ball hole. This will move the entire trailer back from the tailgate.

All A-Frame mounted jacks like the Round A-Frame Jack, part # TJA-5000S-B, use the same 3-inch mounting hole bolt pattern. In other words, the mounting holes are a universal size and pattern so that any A-Frame jack will fit into any A-Frame jack mount. On the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel - 5,000 lbs Item # TJA-5000S-B you will be good with about 3 or 4 pumps of grease from a grease gun. You will know it is too much if it starts oozing out somewhere! It would be a good idea to add grease 3 or 4 times a year but really it depends on several factors like how often the jack is used, how long it sits, the climate, and so on.

We're glad your hitch worked out well! I took a look through our selection of trailer jacks, a 2-1/4 inch outside diameter of the jack's outer tube is pretty common. I did find a 1000 lb capacity sidewind jack that might be a good choice for you if the fully loaded tongue weight of your trailer is less than 1000 lbs. If this is the case, go with the Dutton-Lainson # DL22530.

  • Trailer Jack Recommendations for a 10,000 Pound A-Frame Trailer
A trailer jack only lifts part of the weight of the trailer and not the whole 10,000 pounds of your trailer. A 10K trailer would have a tongue weight of around 1,000 to 1,500 pounds. But the higher the capacity of the jack the easier it is for the jack to lift the weight and the longer it will last. A jack rated for 5,000 pounds such as # TJA-5000S-B is an option. You could add foot # JF-99 as well. I have linked a video review of the jack for you. If you'd prefer an electric jack...
