Works as advertised. Definitely a great price on this jack.. I use it daily on a 20ft trailer.. lets see how long it last me..

It's decent jack for the money and it gets the job done. Fit and Finish is okay. What I don't like - the crank should be reversible. Sometimes the crank to the rear is much better. When you stand on the drivers side (which you almost always do) it's awkward. The crank is vulnerable to damage from the vehicle backing up and tailgate up/down motion. I tried to reverse but the design is asymmetric - so No Go. Dummies.., it would be so simple at no additional cost. Does Any Manufacturer Actually Use What They Make???

This jack has the standard mounting plate with 3 bolt holes that are evenly spaced apart. Therefore you can turn it around to face the sides but unfortunately the design does not allow the jack to face rearwards.

I modified spare tire location (needed more tongue weight), so replaced top mount crank jack with side wind version. Shipping speed was upgraded sans asking and received item just before my next trip. Installed in 5 minutes and jack is much more ergonomic than original. Whenever I need anything trailer or pick up truck related, I don't even bother shopping around, for etrailer pretty much has everything! Customer service is outstanding even with returns or replacements. Completely satisfied with product and service.
Thanks for everything Etrailer

Still working fine. Smooth and easy operation. I seriously doubt that I’ll have any issues with the side wind trailer jack.
Roger S - 08/12/2018

The TJA-5000S-B jack I ordered was exactly what I needed. It was easy to install. The photos show the old jack and the new jack that I needed so that I could mount 2 bikes on front of my Forrest River A-frame camping trailer.

Sturdy and quite functional on smaller utility trailer.

Package came very quick. Went right on to my trailer. The foot that "matched" the jack I bought did not work. Had to run to a local store and get one that would.

Quick delivery and quality heavy duty j ack.

Good product. Fast shipping. It would be awesome if the grease zerk had a cap..

etrailer products are always top of the line,,,
the ‘FREE-SHIPPING’ is the problem…
Slow Slow Slow…

It stronger then my old one. And smother to get my 32' trailer up. And has a grease surk.

It still works good. When have to go electric Jake it would be time to sell my trailer.
Randy F - 12/06/2021

Works as intended. I have it on a small 20ft camper that weighs about 4k Lbs. I recommend adding grease and an adjustable bottom with a quick release pin.

I've had this installed on my utility trailer for about a year now. It works great. I've had some pretty big loads in it and have had no issues raising and lowering it with this jack.

Product came on time, as advertised. Had a hard time believing the low price!! My old jack was so damaged I had to persuade it off with hammer and chisel, but then this jack went on in minutes. Functions smoothly. Couldn't be happier. etrailer has all my future trailer business. Five Stars.

I bought this for a basketball goal replacement and it worked out GREAT!! It raises the backboard with ease, and my 8 year old daughter loves it. It shipped out faster than I was expecting, and it arrived in just a few days. Awesome job towards Etrailer!!!!!!
I will definitely recommend Etrailer to anyone !!

I wish all online ordering was as easy as Etailer. It was easy to find the products I needed, the customer service department answered my question clearly, and I appreciate the fast delivery and follow up.

This is a heavy duty front crank jack. I recently purchased a large trailer tongue box for a Big Tex 6x10 drop ramp trailer. The trailer has a top wind jack that now hits the box. I purchased this new front wind jack and it will bolt directly into the trailer mounts. The foot pad and pin will move from my old trailer jack to this one. The jack seems to be made of high quality and I am very pleased with it.

Everything is great with the trailer jack. Thanks
Dan - 03/09/2019

Very fast and efficient. Good customer service.

Mounting holes all lined up perfectly and the bottom holes for flat ground plate fit with no problems. Will know really how good it works once we take camper camping.

William - 06/02/2021

Fit right, sturdy and quick delivery at a very fair price. Could not have wished for more. My original jack was of poor quality, this jack seems to be significantly heavier than the original, expect it to last me as long as I have the trailer.

I have been using this jack for a year, lifting about 2700 when the trailer is loaded. So far, flawless, excellent product at reasonable cost.
Howard R - 04/27/2018

No complaints. Does the job with no prob. Nice long travel. I appreciate the grease zerk. I didn't order a foot plate as I already had one. Bad move! The tube only accepts it's companion foot assy. ( male/female design) Had to pay another shipping charge.

The footplate that fits this jack is part # JF-99
Footplate for 2,000-lb and 5,000-lb Round, A-Frame Jacks
. The footplate bolts through the bottom of the jack with the included hardware.
-- Etrailer Expert Heather A - 07/01/2018

The jack, which attaches to my trailer, fit perfectly, just as indicated in the video. It took me about 30 minutes to remove the old jack and replace it with the new one. One word of caution: to get at the nut under the yolk bar, a jointed socket attachment is needed because the nut is not aligned straight down for easy removal and installation.

Great jack. Easy to install keeps the trailer in position goes up and down pretty easily.
Benjamin F - 09/14/2020

Wow, it has been a year, I guess I should have given one when I got it. Installed easily. My only issue is I don't like the top side crank handle, I can't seem to remember which way is up and down and I have hit my leg on a it a lot. THat is not something that would make you not want this jack. It lifts my very heavy trailer with (4) 4 Wheelers on it, not evening blinking an eye. I have used it all over with complete reliability.

Well designed and built. Easy installatioin. Works great. The one criticism I have is not of the unit itself but of the lack of knowledge of the product by the employee I spoke with concerning the different weight ratings of the jacks they sell. I surmised that the only difference in weight ratings is due to the gear ratio of the hand cranking mechanism. She said "no" but when I installed and used the item it was obvious that it took much for cranking to get the same amount of lift than the item it replaced.
Still happy with the jack tho.

I really like this jack. It's easy to turn and looks great. The foot that I bought is adjustable, which I didn't realize, but they work together perfectly. Great service and a great product. I will definitely be shopping here again.

Wow, cool. Thanks for checking in. Im happy with my Jack.
Sandra - 04/29/2018

Great product, all good, no troubles with the trailer jack. I have a Toyota Tundra crewmax and the way our horse trailer is set up it can only be put in one way, my tail gate comes down and the crank touches the tail gate, I opened up the crank to see if I could reverse the sides but you cant cause everything is to the one side, it should be reversible or made shorter. I also wish I would have spent the extra money on an electric one cause it takes a lot of cranks to put up and down. But the product is good, you don’t know til you get it and see what work. Thanks for me to put my input in.

  • Does the Round A-Frame Jack part # TJA-5000S-B Fit 3 inch A-Frame Bolt Pattern
All A-Frame mounted jacks like the Round A-Frame Jack, part # TJA-5000S-B, use the same 3-inch mounting hole bolt pattern. In other words, the mounting holes are a universal size and pattern so that any A-Frame jack will fit into any A-Frame jack mount. As long as your trailer has an A-Frame jack mount, this jack will fit.

  • Trailer Jack Recommendation for A-Frame Trailer with at Least 3,500 lb Capacity
The good news is that basically all A-frame trailer jacks install with the same bolt pattern so the jack part # TJA-5000S-B would fit and work well as a replacement. It has a 5,000 lb capacity as well so in that regard it would work really well too.

On the Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel - 5,000 lbs Item # TJA-5000S-B you will be good with about 3 or 4 pumps of grease from a grease gun. You will know it is too much if it starts oozing out somewhere! It would be a good idea to add grease 3 or 4 times a year but really it depends on several factors like how often the jack is used, how long it sits, the climate, and so on.

The replacement gear kit does not include the keeper ring; it is only the gears and pins; unfortunately the keeper ring is not available as a separate part for these jacks. So while I know it's not the news you were looking for, the best option we have is a replacement jack, either the 2,000 lb or 5,000 lb option: - Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15" Travel - 2,000 lbs # TJA-2000S-B - Round A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 15-5/8" Travel - 5,000 lbs # TJA-5000S-B
