Upgrade a heavy A-frame trailer from manual cranking with a self-contained 8K hydraulic jack. Its 12V double-acting pump, keyed pendant, 24" of lift, and drill-operated manual override give you powered operation with a backup for power loss.
A loaded horse, livestock, equipment, or commercial trailer can make a manual tongue jack feel like work before the job even starts. This hydraulic jack gives you 8,000 lbs of lifting capacity and 24" of lift, so the onboard power unit handles raising and lowering the trailer when you hitch or unhitch.
The hydraulic system is self-contained, with a 1.6-kW 12V motor, double-acting pump, reservoir, and hydraulic connections mounted with the jack. Both extension and retraction are powered, so you do not need a separate hydraulic power unit or another trailer hydraulic circuit.
The corded pendant gives you push-button up and down control while letting you stand where you can watch the trailer move. A keyed lockout helps keep the controls from being operated when you are finished.
The jack runs from a 12V deep-cycle RV or marine battery, with a full-size Group 27 battery recommended. Battery cables are not included, so you can size them for the distance between the battery and pump and avoid excessive voltage drop.
If electrical power is lost, you still have a way to move the jack. A 1/4" hardened hex drive at the pump lets you extend or retract the jack with a standard power drill. Do not use an impact driver or hammer drill, since the impact action can damage the pump and motor assembly.
The 5" x 5" mounting plate uses three approximately 1/2" bolt holes for attaching the jack to your trailer frame. Mounting hardware is not included, so compare the plate and hole locations with your trailer before installation and choose hardware appropriate for your frame.
The jack measures 33-1/2" retracted and 57-1/2" extended. At the ground, the 8" x 8" foot pivots as the trailer moves, helping maintain a broad contact point when the surface is not perfectly level.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our very own etrailer self-contained hydraulic A-frame trailer jack. Now, this is a bolt-on rated 8,000 at pounds capacity. What I love about this is that it's for an A-frame, right So it's gonna fit those A-frame, same mounting patterns that are out there on all those trailers that require an A-frame jack. And the footplate, of course, is movable, so it can tilt left or right.
That's why I'm holding it here, so don't flip over on me. And then, of course, you have everything self-contained right up inside of here. That's the main control unit. It's got the pump and everything you need. So the cool thing about our jack is everything's here in one self-contained unit, so you don't have to worry about space, you don't have to worry about extra parts being routed anywhere.
This works on trailers very, very easily that have an A-frame, whether it's a horse, livestock, equipment, commercial trailers, all those kind of things, and you don't have to worry about extra fabrication. You have a nice long remote with the cable, and you have some keys here as well that you can use to lock this out. That way no one could use it when you're not using it, and don't want 'em to. And then you got your up and down buttons, making it really simple. And again, it's magnetic so you can put it on the box, you can put it on the trailer frame, wherever you want, while you're using it.
And then also, whenever you're not, you can have it stored. So again, a very nice long length, generous length of cable. And then same thing on the back. You have your hydraulic hoses and everything routed. Everything's back out of the way.
It's made to go through the bracket itself. So it's keeping everything nice and tight into a small footprint. It's an easy bolt-on installation. No welding, no modification. And it's gonna up through the weather, long weeks, all those kind of things, because everything here has been powder coated with a protective coating, so you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, or any kind of stuff like that. The footplate is 8" long, and the travel distance overall the jack can travel is about 24". When it's retracted, which is where I have it now, all the way down, as far as I can get it, I got about 33 1/2" tall retracted. and then when it's fully extended, it's about 57 1/2" fully extended. So again, folks, this is the etrailer self-contained hydraulic A-frame trailer jack rated 8,000 pounds. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching, and have a great day.
