Looking For 12v Refrigerator To Replace Dometic DM2672

Question:

Hello, We have a DM2672 refrigerator and want to replace it with a 12v electric only. Do you know what would be compatible to fit in our space? Thank you.

Hello Susan, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do have a good 12v option for replacing that. Based on the specs I found online, the Dometic DM2672 fridge is a 6 cubic foot unit that measures approximately 54-5/8" tall x 25" wide x 25" deep.

We do have a good replacement for this. I recommend the following:

- Furrion Arctic RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer - 8 cu ft - 12V - Stainless Steel - Left Opening Doors # FR46GD

This fridge measures 53-1/8" tall x 25-3/4" wide x 24-1/4" deep so it should fit nicely in your cutout as long as the extra 3/4" of width isn't a problem.

What prompted the switch to a 12v fridge? Do you go off grid a lot?

Furrion 12volt Refrigerator works great in my 2007 Acrtic Fox truck camper. It was a good move for me to move to a 12volt Furrion Refrigerator. I Bought this from etrailer in 2025.

Hello John, Do you have that with right opening? We can't use the left opening option. We are on a seasonal site and don't travel and don't like the propane/electric fridge. Thank you

@SusanR Hey Susan! The doors on this unit are reversable, so you switch it over to right opening if you wish.

@JesseM Thank you for that information. We'll have to figure out how to measure ours with the fridge in it so we know for sure if it will fit. Could you also direct me to the entry door locks for our 2021 Gulf Stream Cabin Cruiser 24rbs?

@Susan Yes, we should have a door lock replacement for you, but those aren't make and model specific so there's no way to look up your rig to know exactly what door latch it has now. You'll need to take a close look at the current lock and measure the overall dimensions and cutout size. A lot of campers like yours use a standard door lock like the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch # 295-000019. This is 3-1/2" wide x 4-1/4" tall and it fits cutouts that are 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall. Please compare this to your current lock and see if it matches. If not just let me know.
