Today we're going to show you Optronics Trailer License Plate Mount Bracket, part number LP15SB. First off, with our bracket this is an all-metal construction. In its typical application, this license bracket is designed to sit behind the bracket that holds your taillight in place. In this case, we're on the driver's side or left-hand side. Typically they will line up with the studs on the lights. You can mount this either way you'd like, but typically you want this underneath so it sticks underneath the light on the bottom for the license plate. Let's go ahead and install it. Pretty simply.
Let's go ahead and remove these two nuts. Most of the time it's going to be a 7/16. In certain situations, it won't fit like this, so you can flip it around and install it that way as well. Of course, we realize that not as much light will go onto your license plate, but it will still work just fine. Then you can go ahead and install your license plate; 1/4" hardware will work just fine for that.
This hardware does not come with it as well. Since it is recessed inaudible 00:01:14 back, let's go ahead and turn off the lights and try it out and see how the trailer light illuminates the license plate. Even though it's recessed, it's still doing its job. That will finish it for a Optronics Trailer License Plate Mount Bracket, part number LP15SB. .

Beats the pants off the plastics ones. Just wait until you hit a low sport or have a tire blow and you have to go through replacing a license plate at the DMV. You will have wished you put metal bracks on all your trailers sooner. Etrailer.com had best price and fast shipping. Dont wait until you loose your license plate. Just order a few now and put them on. You wont regret it plus they bend a little to allow a custom fit under your light bracket.
A product doesn't get much simpler than this. It is rugged, and it certainly won't break, no matter what you back the trailer into. The license plate itself is more likely to be torn apart. Worst case is you'd just bend the bracket back to acceptable shape by hand. Cost is less than to mail it. The mounting holes fit the two bolts on the running light unit on my CarryOn 5x8 trailer exactly. The plate bracket that came with the trailer was plastic, which broke off somewhere along the way, leaving the plate behind with it. With this replacement bracket, that just can't happen. This bracket is what the trailer ought to have had in the first place.
After losing two boat trailer license plates in the same year to cheap plastic mounting brackets I went looking for a sturdy metal mount and found what I was looking for at etrailer.com. Their customer service was excellent and I received the mount in just a few days. I'm seriously considering metal tail light housings to protect my plastic trailer lights next. This bracket was very well made, it fit correctly and has held up as expected. Good product and good CS.
I purchased two tag license frames, one for my boat trailer and the other for my trash/hauling trailer. Both trailers had plastic license holder frames and one broke on rough surface.

It has been fine. I put on my boat trailer since the original was plastic. There are many items available.
This replaces the flimsy plastic licence plate bracket that comes with most trailer loght kits. It firmly and securely holds the plate.

Still great looking, no corrosion or breakage
All metal license plate bracket was excellent. I was having a hard time keeping up with license plates . The plastic ones break so easy , and I would loose my plates. This one looks very good and I think it will solve my problem. Thanks.

This is a solid product and does exactly what it claims it will do. Much better than the one that came on my boat trailer. This will be the last one I buy as it will last forever. Yes I used loctite when I put it on. Shipping was quick and life is good. Thank you etrailer.

I received the license plate bracket 2,days early ,which I like. now all I have to do is repaint the wheel fenders and I can mount the bracket then I will be ready to go. I went with the metel unit because I have found that most BOX STORE plastic holders do not hold up and break. more to follow when I get done.

The bracket I have found is the best think since apple pie. Using the trailer both local and highway the bracket does not move and holds the plate very secure .all my plate brackets are going to be metel from now on.

Mike, where did you get your old black plastic bracket that broke? I had the exact same one and I liked it and it worked for me. I cant find a suitable replacement and would like another one just like this. Thanks!
Old bracket was plastic and easily broke off. I Ordered a metal one from etrailer at a great price. I painted mine with some extra plasti dip I had laying around and riveted it where the old one was and it's better than new!
Great well made product just as advertised. No more lost license plates due to cheap plastic brackets. This metal bracket looks like it's going to last a a life time!

Not to good plate came undone and flew off my trailer . Had to buy another liscense plate .
I think you will find these photos show a unique installation of your metal trailer license plate holder.
My Yamaha golf cart is street legal which requires a license plate. You will see in close up photo that the holder is used up side down for a custom fit.
Couldn't be happier. The plastic holder was not stiff enough so your holder is perfect.
Are you kidding? This metal license plate mount is rock solid and under $2. The holes are set up perfectly to fit the mounting bolts on my driver side trailer light and the position of the license plate when mounted allows it to be lit by the clear lens on the bottom of the trailer light when the running lights are on. Also, the bracket allows the mounted license plate (and frame) to just clear the rail of the flat bed trailer itself. Yeah, it's a perfect fit. Thanks, trailer!!
I have never went wrong with etrailer. This product was no different. Product is well built and sturdy. Fast shipping and would deninatley recommend it if you're looking for a trailer tag bracket.

I dont use the two trailers I put these on much but they still look brand new and would def buy again from Etrailer if needed.

Item was as shown and described and seems to be sturdy with a durable finish. Installs with the plate offset facing front or rear. Will see how it holds up but sure its %500 better than the plastic crap that came on the trailer.
