Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Optronics LED trailer license plate light with the mounting bracket. Now this light with this mounting bracket is designed to hold your license plate to your trailer and help keep it visible. The trailer light itself does angle downward to eliminate your trailer's license plate and the light does use the durable surface mount technology construction of the LED circuit board. This will help better withstand any shock or vibration and even allows for improved heat distribution.
Now, the LED itself makes great replacements for incandescent lights because they'll last 50 times longer, and they're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break, and they do offer lifetime warranty on the LEDs.You can see it has a nice clear lens with the white LED. The bracket itself, and the cover is a nice one piece ABS plastic construction to resist corrosion. It is compatible with 12 volt DC systems and it is designed to mount on the surface of the trailer with the sprocket here, you can see the two mounting holes right here, does have the two wire pigtail, which includes the white ground wire and the black power wire that needs to be connected. This is DOT, department of transportation approved. Just want to show you here's an example of a license plate you would bolt that right to the bracket like that.And then we're going to hook this up to some power just to show you how it lights up your license plate, give you a few dimensions first.
The overall length of the bracket is right at eight and five eighths inches long. Total heights on it. The tallest point is going to be right at two and five eighths inches tall. Total depth of it from the front to the very back is going to be right at up two and a half inches deep. And the mounting holes, the distance between those two mounting holes center to center is right at three and a quarter inches.
What we're going to do now is hook it up to some 12 volt power. Again, your black wire is your power wire, white wire is your ground wire.We have both of those hooked up. We'll go ahead and turn it on. And then you can see your LED lights up. And we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights.
And again, I just want to show you with your license plate light mounted on there. Gives you a good example of how it will lighten or illuminate your license plate. You can see how it angles downward towards the plate. And go ahead and turn back on our overhead light, and turn off our power. That should do it for the review on this Optronics LED trailer license plate light with the mounting bracket.

This is a perfect match to what came with my Montana. I like to keep things looking nice, I used it on my bike rack because it blocked the license plate. Looks great, only takes a few minutes to take off the trailer and put on the bike rack.
