Question:

When you are not using the hitch, it seems as though you mount the license plate into the hitch receiver using the provided mounting plate. But what do you do with the license plate when you are using the hitch? In my case, I want to occasionally use the hitch for a bike rack. So when I mount the bike rack into the hitch receiver, where do I place the license plate?

The EcoHItch Front Mount Hitch part # 306-X7904 is normally used for accessories like winches and snow plows in situations where license plate visibility is not as big of a deal. Since you are using your front mount hitch for a bike rack while on the road then you would need to relocate the license plate with a license plate bracket like part # LP15SB. Please keep in mind you do not want to drill into the hitch.
