Using any adapters in the trailer hitch on your Rogue will reduce the hitch capacity by 50 percent.
Since you are using your hitch for a bike carrier you may still be within the weight capacity of your hitch. If you have a 2-inch receiver opening I recommend an adapter like part # RM-076. This adapter offers a 6-inch rise or drop and may give you the needed clearance for your tail lights.
We do not have an adapter with a rise or drop like this for a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
