No more cranking by hand every time you set up camp. The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack lifts and lowers your trailer with a 12V motor and simple toggle switch. It has 19" of screw travel plus a 5" drop leg for a total of 24" lift. With a 3,500-lb lift capacity, it handles heavy tongue weights easily, raising 6" in about 32 seconds under a 1,000-lb load. You get the power and convenience to hitch or unhitch without strain.
This jack’s drop leg adds quick adjustability so you can match uneven ground without stacking blocks. The bull’s-eye style bubble level on top shows both front-to-back and side-to-side alignment at a glance, helping you dial in a solid, stable stance before unhooking. The 5-1/2" round zinc-plated footplate spreads the load across soft ground for steady support once parked.
Road spray and campsite mud are no match for its rust-resistant design. The outer tube is powder-coated steel, the footplate is zinc-plated, and the white cover is painted to resist yellowing. A vacuum-formed plastic motor housing shields the internals from moisture and dust so it keeps working season after season.
Two top-mounted toggle switches make operation easy—one for lift, one for the built-in LED side light. The light shines right where you need it for night setup or early morning tear-down. If power ever drops, you can still move the jack using the included emergency crank through the top access point.
Installation is straightforward thanks to mounting holes that fit standard 3" spacing on A-frame trailers. You can bolt or weld it in place using basic tools, with a 3-star washer included to ensure a clean ground connection through the frame. Once mounted, its retracted bracket height of 8-1/2" keeps ground clearance in check while giving you full extension when needed.

My Stromberg Carlson power jack is still working well. As for all my belongings I take good care of it, that should make it work for a long time I hope...

This tongue jack is holding up great after a years use. Just came in from a five week trek and did not have a speck of trouble. It easily raises the tongue and back of the truck together to make putting on the load distribution bars a snap. I definitely recommend this jack.

I love the jack, far less effort for a retiree and the manual jack was starting to feel like it was worn and might slip. I keep the manual jack in the trailer just in case but I had zero problems with the electric jack and used it dozens of times last summer.

Worked well all season. The jack is covered while in storage. No issues using it after its been in storage. I have a solar battery tender so theres plenty of power to get it out of storage.

Sorry about that, Patricia. I looked up the Jack-e-up (I hadn't heard of this before) and it looks like it can be used with jacks that have a round base, but not all of them. Most of their kits will only work with the triangular bases. So with that being said, you can either swap out the jack, or the Jack-e-up. Not trying to sway you in one way or the other (well, maybe a little), but the Stromberg Carlson is a very nice jack and it would be the thing I would keep. If you do need to return it though, just let me know. I can find a similar jack with the triangular base or get a return label sent out to you. Out of curiosity, what kind of trailer do you have?

What a wonderful invention. Caution must be used when retracting. Too bad some kind of stop isnt used. But it sure works good!
