This is a good quality machine. Beware of similar winches that cost less. Not even comparable.
My PWC lift broke because I overlooked the weight limits after updating from an old two person to a new 3 person PWC.
By going directly to the manufacturer of the part that I overloaded I was able to ensure that I could ensure that the weight limits could be safely increased AND I saved money. The online ordering process was simple and I received the part in a week with free shipping.
I had some dutton brake winches mounted on a fish house I had made still work but rusty they were not galvanized. The one I just purchased are so they should not rust. Dutton makes a really nice brake winch! Worth the money and I got free shipping great deal etrailer.

Well I installed stainless cables on them to help with the corrosion. To my dismay the drums on the winch is starting to dust after one season. To be fair the units are exposed to the salt on the roadways but I thought being galvanized it would have held up better

Thank you etrailer for my new DL winch. It is an exact replacement for my older one. This made installation much easier.
Unique winch that you can control the lifting of something, up and down.
This was actually a replacement of same winch (after 10 years in the rain it was rusted) so I knew it was what I needed.
I installed the DL 1500lb winch(s) on (2) jet ski lifts replacing the original DL 800lb winches. The spool, gear assembly and brake are larger which makes lifting the jet skis much easier and faster! Great product

MEETS ALL EXPECTATIONS, WORKS PERFECT EVERYTIME
I use these winches on a fleet of equipment and will only use these. Ive tried other websites and brands and nothing has held up like these have. The first ones I started using are now 18 years old and are still working. They are on equipment that stay outside year-round, along side the road ways, in the winter time, so they see plenty of salt and poor whether and still hold up.
I was very pleased with the product. It showed up the exact same time when they said it was and I will order from them more often thank you.
