What Prevents Corrosion from Occurring on Inline Fuse of Powered Trailer Jack

Question:
when my trailer sits for a while, say a month or more, there is no power, however, when I open the inline fuse there is corrosion on the contact ends, once I remove the corrosion, with very light sandpaper, it works fine. Is there any way to stop the build up of corrosion on the contact ends?

Hey John, so corrosion is happening because of moisture getting into the fuse slot. Keeping that as dry as possible will help but also putting dielectric grease like the part # LT37574 on the fuse and the fuse slot will prevent the corrosion as well.
