Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CAM40565. This is the Camco RV Propane Tank cover. This cover is going to protect your propane tank from dirt, rain and flying debris. It's designed to fit one 20 pound single tank. Here on top we're going to have an attached lid. This is going to open to have easy access to your valves and regulators. All you have to do is un-thread or loosen up this thumb knob and it pivots out and then allows the lid to open up and you can easily gain access to whatever it is you need to on your tank.
And then it's very to secure, you just put it back and then tighten it back down. It's going to keep that lid closed. The heavy duty custom molded polypropylene construction is going to offer premium protection from the sun's damaging rays so you don't have to worry about fading. Very easy assembly and installation. The cover is actually two pieces, a front piece and back piece. Then all around the seam on both sides it's going to be held together with screws and lock nuts. Take a look at the inside and here on the bottom.
You can see that we're going to have the bottom tabs and bungee holes so that's going to let you attach a strap there. That way you can secure this around your tank. This cover is black in color so it's going to streamline the look of your RV. The product is made here in USA. If we take a look at the overall dimensions. From outer edge to outer edge it's going to give us an overall length of 18 inches long, right around that measurement.
Overall height from bottom to top is going to be about 19 and 3/4 of an inch. And then the thickness or the depth, that's going to give us a measurement of 13 and 1/2 inches from side to side. That's going to do it for today's for today's look at part number CAM40565.

The product arrived in short order. It was very easy to assemble and install and solved the issue of having a single tank exposed to the elements. I did have to drill a hole in the back to access my propane hose but that was easy.
Good product the only improvement I would make would be to have a factory hole in the back so that you would be able to pass your propane hose directly to the valve I had to cut my own hole
Cover looks nice but was too small in diameter to get the LP hoses inside. After I cut a hole in the side for the hose to go in, it worked well
Excellent value for the price. Assembles easily and installs easily. Works and looks fine.
Thanks again etrailer.
Always on time and great quality products. Etrailer.com is your hook up for all your trailering needs.
The glue that stuck the parts inside made a huge mess & won't come off. We've already assembled/installed it so probably won't take apart to do a photo. The adhesive held the bag of bolts, etc but was gloppy & excessive. Not a big deal as it's now hidden but detracted from a sense of high quality. No worries.
I am very pleased with shipping and the quality of the Camco tank cover. Easy installation and it looks really good on my camper.
Very fast shipping, awesome product not many places carry a single tank cover very happy , highly recommend, thanks again.
The order was incomplete. The package contained only the two halves of the tank cover and did not include the hardware. I called customer service and the issue is being rectified. The customer service rep, Jessee, was outstanding but confused about the missing hardware. I suppose these occurrences happen from time to time, but it's still a bit of a hassle to deal with.

The cover is well made and works great after one year of use.
If you are lookin for a propane cover for a trailer with a single tank on the front, this one is great. Had it for a year and still perfect condition. Looks great, protects great, and easy to install/remove. It’s a no brainer.
This propane tank cover was great on our new travel trailer. We had to get one big enough to go over the brackets and this was perfect! Super fast shipping, too! We are very satisfied with this product and etrailer.com.
Exactly what I wanted. Seems durable. Many folks have the double propane tank covers but etrailer was the only one with the single tank covers.
I purchased the Black Camco RV Polyethylene Propane Tank Cover to match the black stone guard on our travel trailer. It looks really good and offers protection for the propane tank from road debris. Additionally, it helps keep the tank clean during storage between camping trips.
Pretty easy, bolt clamshell together around tank, drill hole for supply line and you are done. Pulls off of my tank for easy reaplacement.
It is the only one I could find for a single tank and seems adequate so far. Would be improved if there was a hole in the back to pass the hose through. I’m going to have to cut a hole myself.
Hi, I received the product on time however, upon unboxing, I noted how scuffed and frankly dirty. The part was. I’m gonna still try to use it, but it was a little disappointed with this condition.
I bought the single tank cover and I rated the cover with only 3 stars for two reasons that I was unawarenof before the purchase. The method of attachment to the frame/bottle is via two small holes at the bottom of the cover and a bungee cord of your choice. You could make a sturdier connection via a homemade piece of flat bar but that makes it harder to swap bottles out. The second issue involves connecting the propane hose to the bottle. I have two choices on my trailer which are a) buy a longer hose that will go under the cover and back up to the tank connection or b) cut an access hole in the back of the cover. The longer hose is obviously more expensive and the hole would need some sort of grommet to protect the hose and keep out heavy rain. So, I think Caamco needs to modify the design. FYI, my hose is still too short if I tried to enter via the top access panel.
Purchased to cover a single tank on a 22' travel trailer. Easy to assemble the two halves together. The door on the top allows for easy access to the propane tank valve and there is sufficient room to accommodate a propane fuel guage. After a year in the weather, there is some slight fading of the color but a quick wipe with Armor All or Rejuvinate and the shine returns. It was a tight fit between the battery box and my Bulldog electric jack stand. I had to rotate the stand 180 degrees to make everything work. My only dislike is the tabs on the bottom (to secure it to the trailer)which require you to get on the ground to unhook whenever you need to change out the propane tank.

Fine. As mentioned, the black plastic fades in the weather but a coat of Rejuvenate brings back the sheen. I still dont like the tabs on the underside of the cover.
Awesome propane tank cover could not find a single tank cover till I found your website works good looks good thank you very much a plus
It was easy to assemble but the hose does not easily fit in the cover. Any suggestions are welcome!
I had asked in the question section if this would fit a 2018 Viking Epic 1906 pop up camper with pic. I measured my tank situation and decided to order it. IT FITS! I did have to move the tank a little, but it fit perfect! Very happy with etrailer. See attached pic.
Finally found a single 20 pound tank cover. Again, etrailer had what I wanted. This was so easy to put together and it looks good on my trailer. I have bought a lot of merchandise from etrailer and not once have I been disappointed.
Fast free delivery, with great tracking!
Just in time for us to start our camping season!
Thank you!!!

After one year, I had to replace the top-mounted access door because the screw apparently was not tightened enough and the wind blew it off somewhere in west Texas. If I had to do it over again, I think I might try one of the various soft covers for a better fit and no modifications.
