Question:
when there is the weight of the trailer on the electric jack it clicks and wont go up or down. I can still operate it manually but it is very hard, any advice besides replacement?

Expert Reply:
Before you replace the jack make sure the jack is grounded properly to the frame of your trailer, also check to make sure the main ground of your trailer connector is attached to a clean metal surface. Also check to make sure the 12 volt battery you are using has a good charge as it sounds like the jack isn't able to get enough amperage to operate when under a load.
The jack sounds like it's making the same sound a car starter will make when the battery is either dead or the battery terminals aren't tight enough or there is corrosion.
