Question:
One of the reviews for this part says the rubber boot from the original switch doesn’t thread onto this replacement switch. Can you verify one way or the other? Thanks.

Hey Dave!
I actually pulled a Replacement Extend/Retract Switch for Electric Stromberg Carlson Jack # SC92SR off the shelf to check this, and I was able to verify that the original rubber boot from a Stromberg Carlson Electric A-Frame Tongue Jack # JET-2500 threads onto the replacement switch correctly.
I can’t say for certain which jack model the reviewer had, so there may be some older versions with a different boot or thread size. However, # SC92SR is the correct replacement switch for the Stromberg Carlson # JET-2500, # JET-3555, # JET-3755, and # JET-5000, and based on my hands-on check, the original boot should transfer over properly on these models.
Do you happen to know which Stromberg Carlson jack model you have?

In my case it did NOT screw on. The threads are different. Not only that, there wasn't a lock nut provided so I couldn't tighten it down.

Thanks, Jerry. I ordered and received a switch and verified that the boot does indeed thread onto the new switch. Dave Koester
