Recommended Battery Box for Wiring Jack to A-Frame Trailer

Question:

Hi y’all! I just bought an electric jack from you for my wife’s horse trailer and wired it to a seven way plug. But I want to wire the jack straight to a battery so wifey doesn’t have to plug and unplug. There are too many battery boxes to choose from. What would y’all suggest for battery and box and how to mount the thing on an A frame?

The best battery box to mount a 12 volt battery to an A-frame is the TorkLift PowerArmor Solar Single Locking Battery Box # TLA7720RS because it allows you to mount, protect and easily use a 12 volt battery to power your Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3555.

The PowerArmor comes with mounting brackets, is vented, has access holes for wiring, locks, and has a solar panel so you do not have to continually re-charge your battery with a charger. This is the best quality and easiest battery box to use and is definitely the route you will want to go so you (and your wife) are not having to continually plug/unplug/charge your trailer battery.

There is also the Tow-Rax Battery Box # TWSP12B though this will require you to drill holes for mounting it and fabricate your own way to mounts as well as use a battery charger such as the CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353.
