Some racks make you trim channel strips each time you mount something new. With this design, you simply push hardware into the channel, and the strip closes back up around it. It’s quicker, cleaner, and keeps the bars sealed from noise and weather without any cutting required.
The aluminum build gives you a sturdy platform that doesn’t weigh down your vehicle but still supports plenty of gear. Each silver crossbar measures 60" long with a total system weight capacity of 165 lbs (always check your vehicle’s maximum roof load). Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.

Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.

Easy to install and sturdy. I carry a 9' pontoon boat on my camper shell using this rack at freeway speeds with no problems.
So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.
We had to wait on stock a little longer than expected BUT etrailer kept me informed of the progress. Once I received the products installation was a breeze thanks to the instructional videos.

Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.

I have a 2004 Toyota Camry, my purpose is to purchase this Yakima Baseline System for Rooftop tent. My 23Zero rooftop tent weighs 130 lb, so far it's super solid. I did some minor adjustments based on the shape and level of the roof when mounting it.
I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT which has the non-functional roof side bars. Etrailer.com helped me figure this out and gave me several options that would work. As I already have Yakima bike racks - I wanted to stick with the brand. The price on etrailer.com was the same as Yakima but had free shipping and no tax - awesome.
The Yakima product came with thorough and easy to understand instructions. I was able to get the track installed and working in about an hour - and that was taking it slow and double checking everything. I was very pleased with the fit and finish.
After a test run, there was no wind noise or issue with the rack. Looking forward to taking a road trip next month with it!

Great UX for finding the options matching my car, and the baseline towers work great. Simple straightforward site, will plan to use them again when needed.
For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
