This setup gives you everything you need in one package—2 JetStream crossbars, 4 BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit. It’s a full system that installs on your vehicle’s naked roof, adding solid space up top for gear without needing factory rails. Driving with crossbars can create wind noise, but these JetStream bars are designed to keep things quiet. The aerodynamic shape helps reduce drag, and the rubber strips in the top channels seal around your accessories to cut down on whistling and vibration. You get a smoother, more peaceful ride even when the rack is loaded up.
Some racks make you cut or remove strips to mount accessories—these don’t. The push-down rubber strips in the top channels let you press hardware right into place with no trimming required. Once installed, the strips close back around your mounts to keep things sealed and secure. It’s a simple design that saves time and keeps the rack looking clean.

Follow the instructions, and you can't go wrong on the self installation
Ackage came 2 days early the install was somewhat easy (did it by myself)
Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.
Yakima is always great, the bars are just right for my kayaks and look great too.

Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.
Easy to install and met my need for hauling a kayak.
So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.

Easy to install and sturdy. I carry a 9' pontoon boat on my camper shell using this rack at freeway speeds with no problems.
Work exactly as they should and hold everything securely to my vehicle without interfering with the car’s normal operation. etrailer had best prices based on my research. These bars are much quieter than traditional round bars and worth the added expense.
Easy to install thanks to the etrailer video. I have used the rack system on many long distance trips including driving from South Carolina to Yellowstone.
Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.

Overall these are a great product and much needed. I had a Tiguan with the side rails but needed cross rails for my gear. When I got my Jetta I wanted to keep my Yakima cross rails so I needed the Towers. They work great and fit my car well. I took them off recently after having them on for a year for re-fitment.

Ordered new towers and clips so as to use my old-school round bars (I bought these at least 18 years ago, maybe even earlier) and bike and canoe accessories on a new vehicle (naked roof 2018 CR-V). Installation was tedious, as usual, but not difficult and the written instructions were straightforward. Youtube helpful too but not necessary. Have hauled bikes and the canoe in high wind on the interstate (no more than 65 mph though) on the CR-V and so far so good. Have had excellent results with Yakima racks on 3 vehicles now (2 sedans and now the CR-V) over last 28 yrs. This is my first purchase through etrailer. Very pleased. Good price, excellent service online and via phone, rapid delivery. Highly recommend.

the yakima jetstream crossbars with baseline towers were a bit more complicated to assemble and install than the brand i returned, but the wind noise and whistling are dramatically less ...
the next step is to select a cargo carrier ... it goes without saying that i will consult robert again ... thanks so much robert, and safe and happy travels to all
Great UX for finding the options matching my car, and the baseline towers work great. Simple straightforward site, will plan to use them again when needed.
For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
