The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated or P3-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Hello neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our GloLight M5 LED clearance or side marker, submersible with six diodes, a nice clear lens in amber color. So folks, as you can see, I've got a light up here already, and it will obviously just come like this and then you just have to wire it up whenever you get it to your trailer. Very simple installation, and obviously it's gonna give you amber color. I will go ahead and shut off my overhead lights so we can get a better view of this in the dark. So as you can see, it gives off a nice glow, thus the GloLight name.
And I've got two images on the screen there, so just bear with me, you're looking at a closeup and a far away at the same time there. So this oval trailer light with smooth, bright outer band serves as, again, both the side marker or clearance light. It has been sonically sealed, so it is waterproof. I'm gonna go ahead and unplug it here. It is waterproof and it is submersible.
LEDs make it super bright, longer lasting, and more efficient. It's gonna last 50 times longer than your incandescent lights that are out there. There's no bulbs to replace, again, it's been sonically sealed, it's all waterproof, even the nice plugs here are very simple. You just simply plug 'em in. They are what's considered male bullet plugs, specifically a 0.18.
Installation does require a 1" diameter hole for the wiring to go through. This is 4" long overall side to side, and the mounting hole center to center is 3 1/8". And again, it is six diodes inside. Now, as far as a quick height, it's about 3/4" tall. You could potentially get a chrome bezel if you want to have a chrome fascia around it.
That would be sold separately here on the website. It's a nice polycarbonate lens, so it's very durable. And again, you can mount it on either the surface of the trailer as a clearance or side marker. Well folks, I think that will wrap it up. Just a quick look today at our GloLight in amber color.
