When you’ve got gear on the roof, the last thing you want is that constant wind hum. These aluminum WingBar Evo crossbars have an aero-style shape that helps keep things quiet while you drive. The split rubber strips in the top channels fill the gaps to cut down on wind noise and vibration. It’s a smoother, more peaceful ride whether you’re driving through town or on the highway.
Some racks require cutting rubber pieces to fit accessories in the channels, but this setup skips all that hassle. The top channels have split strips that let you slide in your accessories—like kayak carriers, ski holders, or cargo box mounts—without trimming anything. When you’re done mounting, the strips close around the hardware to keep air moving smoothly across the bars.
Whether it’s a kayaking weekend, a ski trip, or a long road adventure with extra luggage, these bars handle it all. The aero-style design works with both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories, so you can use what you already have or mix in new gear down the line. They’re compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers, giving you options for every season.
These crossbars are built from aluminum for a solid combination of strength and low weight. They support up to 165 lbs of gear, as long as it’s within your vehicle’s roof load limit. The 53" long bars give you plenty of space for mounting multiple accessories side by side, while the black finish keeps them looking clean and modern trip after trip.
If you want extra peace of mind when parking with gear up top, this rack is ready for Thule’s One-Key System locks (sold separately). Once added, the locks secure both the rack itself and any channel-mounted accessories to help deter theft when you’re away from your vehicle overnight or at a trailhead.

Not nearly as happy as I was! I love the rack style, and it works OK, but the rubber strips on top are a bad design. Once I had one of the strips fly off while driving, and the wind noise was horrible after that. Luckily, I made a note of where I was, and went back and found the strip on a freeway. This time I GLUED it in, because even though it was properly seated the first time, it came off. Then, the same thing happened on the rear rack! This time I caught it before it blew off. The front one had been driven over by a car or two, so I was going to replace it rather than reuse it - until I found the price of this simple piece of blow away rubber - it was outlandish I think it was $80 for a set - ridiculous at even half that price!. So I ended up gluing them in AND I put an eye bolt on both ends - since it seems to come loose at an end and work its way across. The idea is good, but the captive track is not adequate, and Id rather just take them off - but the wind noise is unbearable, so Im just going to make due.

Hi Michael, thanks for the review! For future reference, you might consider trying a wind fairing to help cut down on noise. These will not get rid of all sound, but they are designed to cut down on noise quite a bit. I hope this helps!

It’s been a year since I purchased and installed these. They’re still holding up and look great. I added a roof rack on top of it using the slots and t-bolts. Definitely worth every penny! You will not be disappointed! ????
