Question:
I have a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek plug-in hybrid without raised rails. I have a Thule Hullavator Pro 898 and on a previous vehicle I used Thule Rapid Crossroad 450R to mount it. Will these crossbars work for the Subaru, and what else do I need to be able to use my Hullavator on the Subaru? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Expert Reply:
Since your 2023 Subaru Crosstrek does not have raised rails you are going to need a whole new roof rack since the Thule Rapid 450R Feet # 753-3399-02 are only going to fit vehicles with raised rails. I recommend sticking with the Thule roof rack system so you can use all the same keys for the rack and your Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack # TH898. You will need the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711320 paired with the Feet # TH710601 and Fit Kit # TH25KE if you have the flush rails. Or you will need the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711320 paired with the Feet # TH49SC and Fit Kit # TH63KE if you have a naked roof without any rails.

Hi Bud, I want to attach a Thule Hullavator 898 to the roof rack you suggest, but I am wondering whether the Thule Wingbar Evo Crossbars (TH711320) will be long enough. The wing mirrors on my crosstrek do not fold in, and according to the Hullavator specifications, the load bars must extend between 4” and 8” beyond the foot. Thanks in advance for any input.
