Question:

How does the Hullavator pro 898 fit onto a Wingbar Evo 135 roof rack? I need a replacement bar mount assembly but don’t understand how it fits the Wingbar Evo 135, and what hardware I would need. Thank you.

The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack # TH898 will either clamp around the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 or can be held inside the channel. The Bar Mount Assembly # 7521741001 included with the carrier allows for either style attachment to work. I have linked the installation instructions for the carrier below which you can use to decide which mounting method you would prefer to use. Then you can let me know exactly what parts you may need so I can help you locate all the correct parts.

Hi Bud, Thanks for your reply. I have the instructions for the TH711420 and the TH898 but I don’t understand the two options for attaching the bar mount to the Evo Crossbar. Does the bar mount 7521741001 come with the necessary clamps and hardware for either method of attachment? Thanks in advance.

@Margaret The bar mount does not include the mounting hardware or clamps. You mentioned needing a new bar mount but I wasn't sure which mounting method you preferred and what other hardware you may have which was damaged and also needs replaced. You can use the instructions to identify the letters for any damaged or missing parts you may need. And if you tell me which mounting method you prefer to use the channel mount or wrap around I can verify all the parts you will need.

@BudM This is the hardware I already have: J x 4 Square nut Z x 4 aero blade adapter bracket L and DD hex keys K x 4 socket head cap screw M6 x35 mm Hope this helps. Thanks
