Received this item packed very well, no damage. I will install it s soon as it stops raining here. Can’t wait to get it installed.

I"m sure I'll be happy with this product. I'm replacing one that for some reason lets the lid open on its own. There are two of these in my trailer and I had to repalce the first one under warranty just a few months after I bought it. But I really like both the power lid opening and the separate switch for the fan. I'd considered putting in a max fan but content with this for now. And very happy etrailer has these available.

It is still working perfectly

by:

The seal for the top to the base is not sufficient and requires bonding to almost stay in place. The seal on the old 1990 unit is still in good shape and will replace the seal supplied with the new unit.
The etrailer support was great.

by:

Received vent but Wall Switch was missing. Called and wall switch will be shipped at a later date

by:

great. but didn't need two tubes of the sealant. One is more than sufficient for a 14 x 14 vent.

Very quiet fan. Installation was simple. Had a few issues with wiring

by:

Odering was easy, shipment was timely and the product was just as I expected. Works well and easy to install with the correct tools.

Great value.
Thank you.

by:

Fits perfect & does the job.

by:

It’s been one year (1/4/23) since I purchased and installed these products on my 1994 Airstream Trailer. The complete kit was more than adequate for my job given that the trailer had a few other areas requiring attention or needing the self-leveling sealer. I waited for the ideal conditions (weather, temperature, and time of day) before applying the parts and sealing a few other external components. We’ve had several rain events and temperature swings and these products have held up very well. The trailer serves more as an office now which increases the importance for not having leaks!

This was a great choice to select these projects and particularly, from this vendor. They were very responsive and quick to get the order out.

Thanks to George and his Team!
Happy New Year 2024

by:

I just got the trailer roof vent, and it is a great product. I unboxed it and noticed it was made of quality material. The top half had nice wide corners with several predrilled holes for easy installation. The inside plastic parts were sturdy and well designed to fit just right. I will be replacing an old plastic roof vent on my 6x12 enclosed trailer. This roof vent will be a life saver because of its quality, and it will be able to handle the years of being in the elements to come. Plastic just doesn't last at all in elements. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to save themselves a lot of time and money replacing the plastic model roof vents by purchasing one of these. Great Job folks!

by:

No more breaking the roof vent on the trailer when shoveling off snow! Customer service was also excellent and shipped fast!

by:

It arrived in the expected time. It installed and worked as described. The specifications allowed me to have the right hardware and adhesive on hand for installation. Still not leaking and didn't even dent with some hail that left marks elsewhere. I am glad I went with the metal vent vs the plastic that disintegrates in the sun and is destroyed by hail. This is what I will use to replace future vents. The price to value is excellent.

by:

I don't know why any one would shop RV parts any where else. I know I won't. Knowledgeable staff, quality parts and reasonable prices. Totally pleased with everything I have purchased.

by:

They have held up work really well and being low profile they’re not obtrusive, which is the book that I was going for.
if there was one thing I would complain about it would be when you go to close them they make a bit of a noise a rattle tin can sound, but that’s my only minor complaint otherwise excellent product.

by:

Simple replacement and it has held up well. I plan to to add a vent cover over the top so I can left this open in the Summer and not worry about the rain.

by:

We had an issue with the screen not locking in. one of the plastic tabs was missing that locks into place. However I had already mounted the unit to the trailer and sealed it before I realized the screen problem. other than that the kit worked great and the trailer is sealed.
Thank you.

by:

The product seems extremely flimsy and poor quality. One corner of the metal frame was badly bent and wrinkled . It was not shipping damage as there was no damage to the carton . The damage have been obvious to the person who packed it.

The hatch material is very thin and weak and I expect will be broke. With the first hail stone.

by:

I found my purchase to be a great experience in all ways! The product was received quickly, in good condition and was just what I expected. High quality, easy installation, good follow up by a customer oriented staff... so I bought more!

by:

Operates as described but when closed lifts slightly (flutters) in windy conditions. I’m concerned it might leak when it rains but haven’t been in those conditions yet.

by:

This was EXACTLY what we needed. Great product, easy install and great quality. Thank you because buying online has not been easy and this was?? Thanks again, Taylor
Ps, pics are out with the old and in with the new. We have a 1965 Shasta.

installed on aluminum A.R.E. DCU truck cap.
Did not use the screw or caulk tape kit since the screws were far to long and the caulking is for rubber roofs. As it is, the smallest screws I found in size #8 were 1/2" long.

THe trim piece might be nice but it also reduces the head room in the space. i elected to not use it for that reason.

THe metal vent cover is what i wanted, though I wish they had smoothed the covers edge; it is sharp for the installer. But once installed it wont be an issue.

The screen is okay, but doesn't seem to completely cover the openings along the edge. If this was a concern, maybe a bit of 1/4" wide foam, backed with tape would make up the difference.

I prefer this type vent assy. with the round knob instead of the crank.

A cardboard template would have been helpful, but obviously not necessary.

With luck it will last half as long as the truck cap ... we'll see.

Received the Ventline Ventadome metal roof vent in good condition.
After removing the old plastic roof vent, the new unit slipped right into the existing square hole with no trouble. See the "before" and "after" pictures. The old plastic roof vent only lasted a few years in Wyoming (the 2 X 5 blocks in the "before" picture were duck taped in place to prevent the plastic bag I stuffed in there from blowing away - a temporary fix while waiting for the new vent).

I did not use the polyurethane adhesive between the roof and the vent flange. Everything deteriorates sooner or later especially in Wyoming. If I ever had to replace the vent it would be exceedingly difficult to remove it if stuck down with urethane adhesive. Instead I used ordinary putty (available at most hardware stores). In fact the old vent was sealed with putty. Since the putty layer is thicker than the urethane, I used 1" screws around the flange instead of the 3/4" screws supplied.

A year from now I'll see how the vent has survived.

by:

The vent went in very easily. took about 70 min. to remove old damaged one and replace with this vent. however I reused my old interior trim. this product came with 1 7/8 INCH trim. Needed 5+ inch deep Trim. thus the three star rating

  • How Do Switches of Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent # V2119-1-533 Wire Up
There really isn't much to wiring up the switches. Basically each switch gets installed on either the power or ground circuit for the fan motor or lift motor so that when the switch is off the circuit is off and when it is on the circuit is completed.

  • Can MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent be Used With Wall Switch
We have trailer roof vents that have an included wall switch you can use, but it is not recommended to use one with the MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent with 12V Fan # MA00-04301M because this vent is meant to have 12 volt power constantly, and a switch interrupts the voltage, which could damage the circuit board. • Parts Needed and Wiring Methods for Adding 110 and 12 Volt Power and Accessories to a Trailer
There are large RVs, over 40 foot Winnebagos as an example, that only use up to a 4K generator. It seems like a generator is what you need for the power the items you want to have in the trailer. We currently do not have generators or inverters that can produce the amount of power you are looking for. We have a 1000 watt inverter, # 02294, but nothing higher than that. Using a generator will negate the need for having power inverters. The way that systems are wired is that they can run...
