purchased an RV missing the factory lp electric fridge. the furrion sizes were very close to the factory fridge size that was missing. Minor wood trimming on the cabinets was required to fit. Low amperage draw for electric only. Worked great as a substitute for the factory fridge

by:

Here’s the bottom line: from my limited binge research it apears Furrion is the only ones to step up and offer a product to conceivably fit in a 32” spot where a $5,000-$6,000 propane/electric might set and need costly repairs or replacement. So for simply this they get a minimum four stars.

Still, it seems the quality might be a little lacking as my door seals were folded over and had to rotate them 180° so I got the side I didn’t have a crease memorized.
It looks like the wooden shelves were just slapped in with screws haphazardly, kind of takes away from the ambience; might as well have bubblegum hold it down in the corners. I might hijack the wires poking out at the door switch and put a secondary button that I can turn on the light, see through the glass, without opening the door. That would be kind of nice.

It’s made for an RV with 24 inch doors except for at the very bottom it’s 5/16 wider than 24 inches – Oopsie. No information on removing the doors but they came off relatively simply but I swear damn near every one of the lath screws used to hold the plastic surround were basically stripped in the sheet metal. In a hurry boys or the engineers just give you the wrong kind of screw to do the job? maybe both ????
it doesn’t seem there’s any adjustment to be hard except for side to side slop as needed, so the doors don’t align perfectly.

The information on it seems a little vague as far as what compartments are rated for what. The wine shelf looks to be limited down to 32 in the lower right (freezer?) Seems to be described also as a vegetable crisper. So I’m not sure maybe it depends on where you set the single thermostat how all four compartments differentiate. I got four thermometers for 10 bucks on order so I’ll have to map some numbers

So, yeah, at first glance it’s a good looking fridge a little scrutiny and you can see the cheapness but the same token good luck finding something else that’ll fit both in the hole where the old fridge was as well as through your RV door. My next option was to get a skinnier fridge and make some kind of haphazard wine rack with the residual gap in the prebuilt cabinets.

We didn’t have to tip it much but I still waited the 30 minutes. I’m not sure if we could’ve stood it up right with the doors on so I’m glad we pulled them off so we didn’t scratch or shatter the tempered glass scraping it through. AnyWho it’s fired right up nice and quiet as I just have it in the living room and haven’t got the hole prepared. I’ll update later if possible.

So there you have it: as near as I can tell this is your benchmark at this price point. Maybe in a few years they’ll have an ice machine built-in :-)

  • Could Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS Replace Norcold 1200LRIM
While I wasn't able to pull up the exact dimensions of the Norcold 1200LRIM I was able to determine that it has standard fridge dimensions like what the Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS is designed to fit into so this will fit and work well for you. You can double check your available dimensions and compare them to this fridge though to verify. This fridge measures 74-1/4" long x 35-1/16" wide x 24-3/16" deep.

  • Can the Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS Replace a Norcold 1210 Model
The Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS referenced in your question uses a standard 120V AC plug so it will just depend on the space you have available as to whether or not this will work well to replace your existing Norcold unit. Based on my research the Furrion Refrigerator will be a bit larger than your Norcold 1210 model (with 2 extra cubic feet of storage capacity). Your Norcold looks to have dimensions of 63-1/4 inches tall, 32-11/16 inches wide, and 24 inches deep. The Furrion...

  • Do All RV Refrigerators Run Off of Gas or Electric
All of the refrigerators that we carry, like part # FCR14ACBQASS, run off of electricity whether it is 12V DC (from a battery) or 120V AC (like a household outlet). There are refrigerators that run off of propane but we don't carry any at this point in time. Aside from that I'm not sure what other power source could be used to run a refrigerator so I want to say yes but I'm sure there is an exception out there somewhere where someone modified a unit to run off of an alternative power source.

  • How Much Battery Power Does the Furrion RV Refrigerator USe
The Furrion RV Refrigerator - 4 Door - Stainless Steel - 14 Cu Ft part # FCR14ACBQASS that you inquired about uses 1.5 amp/hours of battery charge. This means on average for every hour it is on it will use 1.5 amps of power. All batteries are different so to know for sure you need to look at your battery and determine its amp hour rating. This you can find on the batteries label in most cases. You will then divide that by 1.5 to give you a close estimation of run time to expect. Here's...

I went out to our warehouse and unboxed the Furrion RV Refrigerator - 4 Door - Stainless Steel - 14 Cu Ft # FCR14ACBQASS to check out how the latch functions. The depiction of the latch in the manual is a bit misleading. Part # 7 is showing what is inside of the door, so when you actually look at the door you just see the tip of the latch. • Can The Temperature On The Furrion RV Refrigerator Be Adjusted?
The top of the Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS cools via the thermostat located in the top of the refrigerator. As far as adjustability for the temperature, there is a control knob located on top of the storage compartment that you can use to adjust the temperature from 1 to 5. 5 being the coldest setting, and 1 being the warmest setting.

  • 120v 4 Door RV Fridge Options to Replace a 120v 4 Door Norcold RV Fridge
From what I could find on the Norcold 120v 4 door fridge, it has measurements of 63-1/4" tall x 32-11/16" wide x 24" deep. I can not speak to if anyone makes a 120v 4 door option with those dimensions. But the only 120v 4 door option that we carry from our manufacturers is 74-1/4" tall x 35-1/16" wide x 24-3/16" deep. - Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS (Stainless Steel) - Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQABL (Black)

  • Can You Install A 12V RV Refrigerator In A Residential House
The Everchill RV Refrigerator # 324-000119 operates on 12V DC power, and won't be able to be used with your house unless you install a converter system, to convert the 12V DC power to 110V AC power. I recommend instead, just purchasing a refrigerator that is designed to work with 110V systems, like the Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS in stainless steel, or # FCR14ACBQABL in black. That is the best option because you'll be avoiding another expense on a converter system.

I do have an option for you but none of our refrigerators come with an ice maker nor can one be fitted to them. The best option for this purpose would be to purchase an ice maker separately like one that sits on your counter top or to go the old fashioned route of ice cube trays, part # CAM44100. • Is Everchill Refrigerator 324-000119 a Good Fit for a Class A RV and are Mounting Brackets Included
The Everchill fridge # 324-000119 is a fine addition to any RV or trailer. The model you referenced, # 324-000119, is designed to run off of 12 volt power. If you need one that runs off 120 volt AC power it is # FCR14ACBQASS. These do not come with mounting brackets according to the manufacturer. They say that the counters and cabinets around it will keep the fridge in place. They are 23-1/2" wide x 24-3/4" deep x 59-5/8" tall so the hole would have to be slightly larger than that.

  • Will Furrion RV Refrigerator Work With Pure Sine Wave Inverter
Yes, the Furrion RV Refrigerator - 4 Door - Stainless Steel - 14 Cu Ft # FCR14ACBQASS will absolutely work with a pure sine wave inverter, but it does need to be a specific one, according to Furrion (the manufacturer). To use this fridge with an inverter it must be the Furrion Net-Zero Inverter - Pure Sine Wave - Deck Mount - 1,000 Watts # FIVBDP10A. The Furrion RV Refrigerator # FCR14ACBQASS will need to be on a 15 amp circuit breaker. Be sure that your wiring and outlet are rated for the same amount of amperage based on how far the wiring is ran. If you are routing the wire in an RV or similar application where the vehicle will move it is best to use Triplex Wire # SWC5362-1 as it is constructed of a extra tough polyvinyl jacket that is more abrasion resistant than household wiring.
