This anti-rattle hitch pin dramatically reduces any movement or vibration between your hitch and ball mount. Designed for use on hollow-shank ball mounts and accessories.

Features:

  • Anti-rattle pin reduces play and vibration in the hitch connection
    • Place block with spring inside ball mount or hitch accessory shank
    • Insert pin through hitch pin hole and anti-rattle block with spring
    • Tighten pin so ball mount or accessory is pulled tight against side of hitch receiver wall
  • Sturdy steel construction
  • Hitch pin can be turned into secure hitch lock with snap-on padlock (ACC3250 - sold separately)

Specs:

  • Application: 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers
    • Ball mount or hitch accessory must have a hollow shank
  • Pin diameter: 5/8"

Note: This device can only be used with hollow-shank ball mounts and hitch accessories.

The anti-rattle Silent Hitch Pin from Let's Go Aero takes the rattle and play out of the connection between your trailer hitch and your ball mount or hitch accessory. The unique design features a sturdy steel block with an attached spring that is designed to sit inside the shank of your hitch-mounted accessory.

Silent Hitch Pin Diagram

Place the block inside your ball mount or hitch accessory and line up the hole in the block with the pin hole in your ball mount. Slide your ball mount into your hitch and insert the hitch pin. To activate the anti-rattle device, just tighten the pin. Doing this will pull the accessory up against the wall of your hitch receiver, thus keeping the accessory from moving around inside your hitch. No more annoying clanking or vibrating.

Your anti-rattle hitch pin worked great on a 1500-mile round trip to southern Colorado. Reduced vibration on our receiver hitch carrier to near zero. Amazing product!

by:

It's my 3rd pin because they really work! I hate the rattle and own 3 vehicles, so now I have 1 for each!

by:

This product is still going strong. I purchased a cheaper model for another hitch product and regretted doing so. This stays in place so pin lineup is perfect every time.

This is still working out well. As I said a year ago dont go cheap. I have several hitch setups for bikes and motorcycles and the setup with this product I never have issues lining up.

by:

It has performed well and stopped the hitch from rattling.

by:

ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!! Without this Anti-Rattle pin, my bike rack rocks back & forth on the hitch whenever I go over a bump in the road, A LOT!!! With the pin, everything is secure and steady!!

by:

I bought two of these to use with my Extend-A-Bed (t-post for truck). Since I need two (one at my truck receiver and one at the joint of the Extend-A-Bed), I wanted one of the less expensive options that etrailer has for sale. I am very satisfied with the product. It holds my bed extender securely and keeps it from rattling.

by:

This will make it so much easier to tighten up anything I slide into my reliever hitch, Looking forward to using this pin,

It works as advertised and easier than any other product I have ever seen !

by:

This was an awesome addition to my hitch to prevent the hitch “slapping “ when pulling light weight aluminum trailers. There’s a slight relearning process each time you remount it but it helps to “post-assemble” the pin assembly after removing it to help refresh the memory of us elders with “old-timers” disease when we reinstall later

by:

This cargo carrier was amazing on our trip to the beach. With the anti-rattle hitch pin you couldn't even tell it was back there. The only slight problem is that the clearance with it on our 2019 RAV4 wasn't great. We had a little trouble getting in and out of driveways, but we made it work. Customer service at etrailer.com was super. The agent helped me pick all the parts based on my needs and they worked perfectly. I will definitely return to the site when I have other auto needs.

by:

Resolved receiver rattling.

by:

works as advertised

by:

Flawless.... a perfect fix to stabilize my hitch steps to my camper. Steps do not wobble any more. Easy to install and remove, highly recommend this product...could not be happier!!! thank you

Year later, just as happy with this product.

by:

I was sick of the noise that the hitch made every time I drove over a pothole, speed bump etc so purchased one of the Anti-Rattle Hitch Pins from eTrailer - I should have done this years ago. The Pin works as advertised plus the service from Tommy was first class, as always!!

After a year, still as good as on day one and still five stars!

The instructions were poor and I couldn't get it to work.

Hey Robert - I would love to try and help. Would you want to email me some more details as to what is going on and send any photos of that show the issues you're running into?

by:

Still get a bit of rattle but it did help with most of it. I would recommend it

by:

I'll simply say this about these anti rattle hitch pins. If you ever try one, you'll never use a regular hitch pin again. These things really take a lot of noise out of your head when you're pulling a trailer. I like them so well, I've recently purchased more of them as gifts for friends and family members that have trailer hitches.

Yes, even after one year of owning it, I feel that product is a must have for anyone using a trailer hitch. Ive recommended them to friends and family. And thats coming from a very frugal spender.

by:

No rattle works great

by:

Prior to installing this device, every bump or undulation in the road would cause knocking or rattling from my hitch receiver. Those days are gone and there is nothing but silence. I am very happy with this product. Know that one needs to employ a socket or crescent wrench to tighten the nut when installing.

by:

Good value, as described, shipped fast

by:

Quality product. Nice tight fit & eliminated all rattle. Fast shipment too!

by:

Worked well.

by:

I love these anti-rattle hitch pins. Easy to use and very secure. I usually lockable ones but went with the non-lockable due to price.

by:

I have a double hitch installed on the back of my Class C motorhome. The top hitch is for my bike rack and the bottom hitch is for my Blue Ox to tow my car. The entire assembly was VERY loose with A LOT of play. I installed the 2 Roadmaster Quiet Hitch anti-sway rings on the two bottom receivers which had the lips around the receiver. The top hitch did not have the lip so I installed the Silent Hitch Pin in it. All the hitches now have no movements at all and I am so happy with my purchases! I am a single traveling lady and if I can do it, so can you! Thanks etrailer for your great parts!

by:

I haven't had a chance to install the item yet, but it looks like will work fine.

Just like the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp for 2" Trailer Hitch that I purchased a few months ago, this Anti Rattle Hitch Pin is a LOT BEEFIER than I expected. I was impressed with its solid construction. I purchased this because the CLAMP I purchased was great for the main hitch connection, BUT, I have a mount I purchased from etrailer a few years back (Looks exactly like the Flint Hill Goods Adj Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop/8" Rise - 5K - FHG25VR that is currently available), and therefore I have three points of potential rattle. That is why I purchased this Hitch Pin. You'll see in the picture attached- the Curt Hitch Clamp (I dipped in Yellow Plasti-Dip) and the adjustable ball mount. Having them all secured, I believe this is the way to go. I wondered if I would need TWO Anti-Rattle Hitch Pins, but I really don't think I will. It's as solid as one can imagine. I've always liked the items I get from eTrailer, but more, I think their Customer Service is TOP NOTCH. I also REALLY like the videos they often have for each individual item they have. Those are helpful. (Sorry for all the CAPS, but they are for emphasis.) eTrailer is #1 in my book

  • Options on How to Fix a Loose 2 Inch Ball Mount
I have a couple different options on ways to fix a loose ball mount. The Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin, # SHP2061, dramatically reduces any movement or vibration between your hitch and hollow shank ball mount. The No-Rattle Trailer Hitch Wedge, # MPG908, will take up play and eliminate rattle. The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, # RM-061, helps eliminate rattle and sway within your hitch receiver.

  • Wrench/Socket Size for Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin
Hey Phil! You will need a 5/8" wrench/socket to tighten the Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for 2" Trailer Hitches # SHP2061. Keep in mind, this is only compatible with ball mounts and accessories that have a hollow shank. If you're using something with a solid shank you need an anti-rattle like # e38FV instead. What will you be using this with?

Hey Gerard, The anti-rattle hitch pin for the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier 59550 is no longer available so the only way to get one is to use an anti-rattle pin like part # SHP2061 or # 63232 and then use the block to replace what inside the shank on the carrier. If you're wanting to swap out to a different carrier then I recommend checking out the Flint Hill Goods 22" x 49" Cargo Carrier # FHG27ZR because it has an aluminum construction and comes with an anti-rattle pin. If you don't want the lock, then you can use # P5901. These pins are 5/8 inches diameter. The bike rack manufacturers all use different threads, but your rack looks very similar to the Swagman Trailhead fixed base rack. if that doesn't fit your rack, you may want to consider drilling out the threaded...

We don't carry BV products, so I couldn't say if any of the bike rack threaded hitch pins we offer would be a compatible replacement. You'd need to remove the threaded block from the inside of the shank of the rack and replace it with the one included with the # SHP2061. If you have a 1-1/4 inch hollow shank, the # F-315 would be a possibility. Once again,...

We have 2" to 1-1/4" receiver adapters that you can use on your 2020 Toyota RAV4. As you said, the Kuat Sherpa 2.0, part # SH12P, fits a 1-1/4" receiver and can be used with the Kuat Adapter, part # D101, to fit a 2" receiver. However, if you're looking to switch between these two often, then a better option is to use a hitch adapter rather than the bike rack's shank adapter. The Brophy Reducer, part # HT02, is exactly what you're looking for. This can be inserted into a 2" receiver and...

I have two options for you, but no, you cannot by just the receiver portion of the replacement 2" shank # 753-3581 as Thule does not sell it by itself. Your first option is going ahead and spending the money to get the 2" shank # 753-3581 so you don't need any sort of adapter to work with your 2" trailer hitch. Option two is sticking with your 1-1/4" shank, and using the 2" to 1-1/4" adapter # e58YR along with anti-rattle hitch pin # SHP2061, and anti rattle # RM-061-125. The combination...

This is the Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for 2" Trailer Hitches # SHP2061. We do not offer SHP359 but it is a similar design. You are correct the main difference between the two is that # SHP2061 includes the pin sleeve that helps reduce the space between the pin and hitch pin hole. This Anti-Rattle device will take out a majority of the movement in your hitch mounted accessory. I feel that it's most effective when used with bike racks and cargo carriers but still works great with...

This can be used with any 2" ball mount or accessory so long as your hitch has a collar around it for a stabilizer to work. If you're using this on an 2019 F-150 you're good.
