Exactly what i needed. Took 5 minutes to swap the old pin and replace with the tension lock. Etrailer is great to deal with. Shipping is qnick. Products are what are advertised. You can count on etrailer. No more rattles on my 2008 Jeep Liberty hitch. 483421

Worked well. Does not fit as snug/tight as expected in the 2” tubing for the cargo carrier I purchased but should work ok. The rubber insert needs anothe 1/8” to be snug/ tight fit. When I removed for vehicle and tilt the carrier the plastic insert piece moves. Must reinstall the pin before tilting cargo carrier to ensure it does not move out of place 579517

I have a Lexus GX460 and bought this item specifically because it mentions having a longer pin to accommodate Toyota hitch receivers. For this vehicle it only fits if you do not use the lock washer. I even bought much narrower star lock washer from Lowes and even that was too wide. The lock will not engage with any washer. And even then you have to line up the holes perfectly to gain every millimeter of clearance. That said I had no choice but to go without a washer and use the lock on a 2400 mile round trip vacation and had no issues at all. I didn't torque the bolt down all that hard (maybe 40-50 lb pressure?) and it stayed secure the whole way. Noticeably stabilized my hitch carrier with 4 large suitcases. If I were to look again I'd try to buy one that more properly fit my Lexus but otherwise worked fine. 267497

The lock is a great fit for my rack and feels good quality. It was easy to install as well and anti-rattle bolt works great! 541677

I bought this product to keep my hitch mounted cargo carrier from moving around and to secure it so it couldn't be stolen. The carrier doesn't fit snug in the receiver so it rattles and wiggles up and down. This hitch pin threads into a nut that is held inside the hollow tube that slides into the receiver. The nut is held inside by a rubber bushing that does a good job of lining the nut up with the hole and KEEPING IT THERE! The bolt threads through the nut making everything snug (no more noise or movement) and then the lock (seems heavy duty for a hitch pin) locks on the other end. 30955

- SR25219
by:

At first it seemed to be designed well. I added a drop of oil to the threads to be on the safe side. Identical stainless steels had the tendency to gall on the threads. Another words, welds themselves together. The lock is big and in the lock mode was secured. However, the lock decided to separate from the assembly. It's exact location is unknown. It is somewhere between Santa Ana and East Mojave (about 24 miles north of Baker in the desert). All I can estimate, is this locking system does not like shock and heavy vibration. A lanyard from the lock to the vehicle would be nice just in case the internal locking mechanism opens and the lock falls off. 308276

I wanted to wait to review this until I actually installed it in my bike hitch. I tried it on my 2013 Ford Truck and our 2013 Lexis. I was concerned in that the lock actually fit into the hitch hole and wanted to make sure that it did-- and yes, it did on both. Perhaps it is not important but I recommend that you install the lock before you tighten the bolt all the way. The lock has little tolerance for movement so if the bolt is a little off to one side, you might not be able to get the lock on. It’s all good however; you will only make this mistake once. It would be nice if the nut was more secure but I experienced no problem with it which most likely is why they did not do more to secure it. I had an idea that I would just weld a nut to the inside or the hitch and not have to deal with the black plastic holder until it occurred to me that the black device allows this to be self centering. A very good idea. My wife is the one who wanted the bike rack so I let her install it without any advice. She did various things wrong but figured it out. She did not push on the bolt hard enough to get it into the centering of the nut (another good design item) and she tightened the bolt before putting the lock on and it was off center just enough so the lock would not push into the hole. Once she loosened it a bit, it went right in and she retightened just fine. It secures the bike mount to the hitch very well. I would, and most likely will, buy it again. Good value I rate my wife a 5. Nothing else The video is priceless. Play it 79226

This fit my Alpha Tow bar and it tighten up very well. The lock and bolt are well made and the bolt had a lock washer for the bolt end. You could access the lock easily and I found that the lock should be added before doing the final tightening for the bolt. 80823

Still working fine, I did have to retighten once, but that is all. I will check on occasion to make sure it does not work loose. There is no slack or rattle when tight.

Great product, fit and finish. There is a trick to getting this little guy installed. Get the bolt near tight, where you still have play in the hitch. You need the play to get the silver shield on the top of the lock to enter the receiver so the lock can lock onto the pin. Once its locked onto the pin, tighten up the bolt and you are done. No wobble, nice and secure. 25871

This product seems to be VERY well made and does a great job of removing side to side play from my hitch. It was everything I expected when I ordered it. Not much to pick on here, but being super critical I'd say that it would be nice to include an inexpensive wrench to tighten the bolt (like what was supplied with my Thule bike rack). This is really a minor issue and a crescent wrench solves this problem. The only other possible modification I can think of that might be an improvement would be the ability (as an option) to make the insert a bit more snug so it would stay in place securely. Not sure how reasonable this idea is because I'm not familiar with how standard the inside dimensions of hitch accessories are. Assuming this could be done this would be a nice touch if you plan to use this only in 1 hitch accessory. Could probably just wrap tape around the insert to make it achieve this result. If you have more than 1 accessory you want to use this with then being able to get it out easily (as it currently functions) is important. It does a good job of positioning the nut inside the hitch accessory and is easy to install and remove. Overall very pleased with this item 736739

I've had this hitch lock for a year now and it works perfectly. Stops trailer rattling in the receiver completely. Some reviewers stated that the lock didn't engage for them and came off. They are doing it wrong! The lock has a pin sleeve that needs to go through the receiver hole to snap into place and engage the lock. If the bolt pin is fully tightened before locking, a misalignment in the receiver hole can make things more difficult to go through the receiver hole and fully snap on to the pin. Thread the pin but don't tighten down, engage the lock over the pin and then fully tighten the threaded portion of the pin. Works just right and always secure. 719597

Bought one earlier this year and when additional needs arose did not hesitate to purchase more of the same. These are solidly built and reduce the hitch noise/movement as desired. Really appreciate the extra effort from the warehouse staff to find a match to the one I previously bought. 715006

I installed this product on my hitch with zero expectations. I was tired of my bike rack rattling around so I tried item SR25219 out. I opened the package and felt this lock assemble had some weight to it. The opposite end of the lock was a bolt which had some weight to it. Overall: Quality product and top notch customer service who stayed in contact with you. Easy installation, didn't need the instructions but they were absolutely nice to have. The cap fits over the lock itself nice and snug. I'll be recommending this product to all my friends and family in the future. 697156

Excellent product. And as always great customer service. I had to customize mine a little bit because of my specific application using an adapter to use 1in 1/4 accessory on a 2-inch hitch. I just had to shave a little plastic off of the nut holder. 696524

  • Are There Replacement Parts for the Stainless Steel Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pin SR25219
I do have an option for you but there are no replacement parts for the Stainless Steel Locking, Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pin part # SR25219 so no, you can't get just the retainer nut/block. Therefore, your only option is a full replacement which you could just use the same one as before or you can switch to the Pro Series Lock-Tite Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock part # PS63100 which works just as well and is more cost effective.
