Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Gen-Y anti-rattle clamp for three inch hitch receivers. Now this is going to help take any play out of your receiver tube for your three inch hitches, so any of your hitch mount accessories, like your ball mounts, cargo carriers, that sort of thing, you're not gonna have to worry about them rattling and swaying, causing a lot of noise and shaking any of your cargo. And this is gonna be very simple to get installed. You'll just slip the clamp here over top the shank on your hitch mount accessory and then the lip here is gonna go on your hitch receiver. You can see we've got these bolts that you'll then tighten down and that's going to lift up on that receiver tube or on your shank that's in your receiver tube and so that's gonna take out any of that play, give you a nice solid connection.
This is a durable steel construction, so it is gonna hold up really well for you. It's also got that black powder coat finish. It's gonna help resist corrosion, so it will last you a nice long time and then is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be a good quality. So if you are needing to take some of that shake and play out of your three inch hitch mounted accessories, this is gonna be a great option for you. That completes our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Use this anti-rattle device to keep your hitch-mounted accessory from rattling in your receiver. For use with 3" receivers. Slide over accessory's shank, insert shank into hitch receiver, then tighten down bolts. It's ok, not nearly as robust as it would seem. Mine works but has a significant bend or bow in the side with the bolts. I would consider a built design if I could find one for a 3" hitch.
It works- I still use it - but you need to remove it every time you change the hitch insert for size changes or adjustments for any reason - yes i would recommend it - it does require a good amount of torque to get it tight enough to not come loose - it seems that heavy loads do cause it to lossen up during stops and go traffic
Needed heavy modification to work on my dynamax
Problem solved. Easy installation.
