Good instructions, easy assembly, light weight, works well. Wish they offered an LED tail light kit for it, have to make my own kit.

I was looking for a cargo carrier I could use to carry a few items on a longer road trip. I wanted one that would allow the back doors to open on a Nissan NV200 (when the carrier is unloaded). This one has enough clearance to allow the doors to open when you don't have gear on it. I was seeking aluminum for lighter weight. I like the design which has an aluminum tray but steel brackets.

I really like this basket. It is very lightweight but still feels stiff/sturdy and it has a great rated capacity (500lbs) for its weight. However, the shipping was sub-par. This item was shipped with a hitch receiver in the same box. The outer box arrived opened, damaged, with hitch parts missing. The basket box was also damaged by something penetrating the box(es). I was able to hammer out the dent in the basket floor and get it assembled. etrailer was very responsive in getting me the missing mounting HW for the hitch. 5 star product, 1 star shipping.

The aluminum frame felt flimsy when I took it out of the box but after I put it together it seemed rather stout. Not crazy about the folding hitch. It should be an option not all or none. For what it is and the price, it was a good deal. only time will truly tell.

I chose this carrier due to being the lightest weight for its size and load rating. Additionally, I was looking for a dual purpose carrier to haul bulky items outside the vehicle and full sized mountain bikes. The carrier is simple to assemble, easy to install/remove, and store. As for hauling mountain bikes, I added a fork axle mount to a piece of oak. Bottom line - for less than the price of dedicated hitch bike rack with the optionality to haul firewood and fuel to the trailhead it's worked great.

Instructions were good product is excellent. Product arrived ahead of schedule and I was able to get it assembled shortly thereafter. Check my photos. My hitch clamp would not work with the product and I need a storage box.

I just did 800 miles with this cargo carrier and had no problem, but make sure you purchase the anti rattle pin because it has some play in the hitch.

Purchased this to replace almost identical unit I’ve had for 17 years I just have to my son. Old unit was all aluminum. The new is steel on structural parts. Heavier but stronger.
I use to haul sewer hose box, steps,
Grill, camp chairs firewood.

I just assembled the tray and it was easy with the clear instructions. I actually think it is a good idea to assemble the tray so you would know which bolts to check for tightness. I haven't tried it yet, but I already appreciate how lite it is.

I used the cargo tray for a 3 week road trip and it was great. Tray was stable and made packing a breeze. I appreciate the ability of folding the tray, but I really like that it is lite and can be detached quickly for storage.

The Cargo Carrier was easy to assemble. The fact it's aluminum and not steel makes it light weight and easy to handle compared to the steel counterpart. The nice size makes it handy to store in the box of the pick-up or fold up on the hitch. Endless applications, just stay under 500 pound loads.

Used it on the back of our van for a 14,000 mile trip through western U.S. and to Alaska and back. Performed excellently. Liked that it was light and could be folded up out of the way when not needed. Will be using it again on our road trip this summer.

For the most part a good value. I actually added tail lights just to make it a bit more noticeable as we used it to carry our recumbent trikes.

It is still on the back of my Polaris Ranger. I haul quite a bit of stuff in it, and it is better than lifting things up into the bed of the Ranger. I backed into one of my trailers and bent the carrier on the right side, but it is still functional. The rungs slide out of place, but I managed to drill and screw them in place. It is very lightweight and that is important in removing and replacing it. I should get two more for my other Rangers and throw the steel ones away!
